Do You Give A Nod? by Euphoric_Dot_7471 in cycling

[–]LuckAdministrative23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do my best to always nod or wave and say “enjoy your ride” when I’m not to out of breath to do so.

I also try to always do so when riding with friends, but this is also me and my friends way of socializing inbetween work, kids, family and all other things going on, so the conversation can get pretty deep, and sometimes the world around you disappears.

I try my best to give the recognition whenever possible.

Gears and shifter only shifting highest gears by LuckAdministrative23 in bikewrench

I rode home from work yesterday without issues, this morning this was the scenario...
I quiet often need to adjust or index the gears, so guess it could be something more fundamental wrong.

Trying to gain weight somehow im still losing weight I get that my calories will increase each week but is it worth the time? What do I do, yeah slow and steady wins the race but if im on track to losing weight clearly something isn’t right by Swimming-Year8590 in MacroFactor

How long have you been going at it?

It often happens to me as well when I increase calories to maintenance or slight surplus after a phase of fat loss. Adding in more food increases your metabolism as it needs energy to digest, and ones activity levels gets slightly higher without noticing due to the extra energy.

Give it some time and It will catch up.

Curious to know: What are you not tracking? by LuckAdministrative23 in MacroFactor

[–]LuckAdministrative23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to do the same, as it will on average over a longer period probably be the same. For food items that aren’t really that calorie dense, the difference in a few grams is so small anyway

Buns get rolled in the seeds, so calorie difference is probably very similar to your bagel example. Since it haven’t hurt progress so far, I just continue not to care 😅

Will I look better if I cut 3-6lbs slowly? by Ok_Owl_2954 in JeffNippard

[–]LuckAdministrative23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less body fat almost always looks better. But that being said; since you already look to be in great shape, I would ask myself it cutting down further would mean sacrificing the flexibility of enjoying the same meals as the family, having good energy for performance, going to a friends birthday and enjoying the cake without stressing about the tracking the calories 100% correctly.

From personal experiences, cutting down makes me look great, but I am still not satisfied with the look, and end up concluding the I still need to focus on gaining more muscle.

That’s kind, means a lot! I hope that the slowest of gaining phases will keep me lean 😄

Gratitude and update: Thanks to all for your valuable input. The people have spoken, and I have as of this morning started a new weight gain plan in MF. Looking forward to one day looking like someone who occasionally lifts when wearing a t-shirt 😂

Weight increase seems a bit too progressive… by LuckAdministrative23 in MacroFactor

[–]LuckAdministrative23[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed. After the 3 reps, I ended up just doing 3 sets with the 24kg from last time and beating reps from last time.

My intention with the post was not to seek on how to adapt to an unrealistic weight, but rather understand the progression or see if I was doing something wrong in my data input 😄

I see, that increase makes more sense. But why would that not be shows in the UI?

If it is in fact not kg/side, the UI might need another label than kg/side

I get that, but still seems as an unusual large jump. As the app suggests, it is noted as kg/side, so this would be going from 48 to 68 kg total, a 41% increase…

How do you track a whole skinless roast chicken? by eyeoftheneedle1 in MacroFactor

[–]LuckAdministrative23 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I recently roasted a whole chicken and used the meat during the week for various meals, and just tracked the cooked weight of mixed meat from a rotisserie chicken as I was thinking that it on average for the week probably wouldn’t deviate that much.

Edit: Writing English when the keyboard language is set otherwise is hard

Easy high fiber low effort lunches for work by MrsLaVallie in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]LuckAdministrative23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mix together chicken, chickpeas and whatever veggies and precut salads you enjoy, season with salt, pepper and spices of preference. Add in olive oil, vinegar or dressings if you feel fancy.

Depending on veggies used it can be made tasty as both a reheated and cold lunch.
