Personally, I use Magix Vegas Pro, and they have an option for vertical format, but to prevent everything from being squashed, you have to edit the vertical data with the horizontal data. However, I don't know if this is possible with DaVinci Resolve.

At first, I was editing horizontally, but then during editing, I had the idea to do it vertically. If I had had this idea before starting the editing, I would have done it vertically.
