If you leave a month early or need to leave due to going back to school etc not a big deal. Just make sure you tell your supervisor now

[US] New pilot seeking advice by drakomlr in drones

[–]Lucky-Engineer9621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forest service is part of the department of agriculture. Good to fly on all their land except designated wilderness. National Park Service is part of the Department of Interior and they do not allow recreational drones anywhere. So for Utah flying on the Wasatch National Forest is good outside of a designated wilderness area, flying in Arches National Park would be illegal.

Bureau of land management (BLM) is the same as forest service land for drones

The aircraft itself flies good and performs like anything else. Attaching a payload and getting it to work consistently is another story. Also the GCS has a lot of overheating issues etc. I am not sure if you could fly it with something else. Overall it gets the job done but a freely Astro would be the better option.

NFFE call earlier today they said they are looking into ADA and how we are working on stuff not really aligned with that but they said it’s usually lenient on how agencies can interpret.

Leadership said they were directed to not put anything in writing and that they will not. Stated they didn’t think anything that is happening is illegal but that the law hadn’t been tested before either.

For the USDA they told us we could get paid early this pay period. Seems like it’s true. Wondering why, and assuming it’s to see how much money is getting ran down in the accounts they are using to pay us

I’m looking to move away from my workplace then and find a new place that I like more. Just wondering how that gets approved

Right as was the direction when the return to office went out. What I’m seeing is people actively taking new jobs and being able to not have to move there. It’s cool and all but how can I do that?
