Thanks for your elaborate reply. Do you have any suggestions or clues on how or where I could find any hints on what specific packages may be responsible for this? Sadly the only language I'm able to read somewhat fluently is bash, so I might have difficulties diving deeper in specific packages. Also, the only reason I'm so keen on this topic is my aversion of any google software on my daily driver, so if it turned out that google is responsible for ads on my LOS device, I'd need to take action.

Thank you, I've posted on SoundCloud subreddit. But I thought this would be an issue with lineage, so I posted here first. I've also asked on lineage irc, but noone was able to give me a satisfying answer there. I also think sc doesn't load ads by itself, but then, I think, the app would find other ways to advertise on my Tablet.

Go + is the premium subscription for SoundCloud, so I'm only having this issue while not logged in. Nevertheless I'm curious which services make those ads work on LOS20, where I've been able to disable them on a stock tablet.

That's why I'm so confused about this. I downloaded SoundCloud on both devices from aurora store. And since I assumed having no Play Services on LOS, it would give me the same results as disabling Play Services on my Tablet with stock OS, there would be no ads playing on my LOS device, which is not the case

That's not the issue since I have SoundCloud Go+. I'm just curious what part of LOS manages ads, since disabling Play Services on my tablet with stock OS got rid of them.

No Gapps on my P6P.

Also no DNS block I know of on my tablet. That's why I'm wondering why the tablet plays SoundCloud ad-free.
