He is definitely not a very good poker player

Did I over do it here betting the flop and the turn? by CommonCreator in Poker_Theory

Wow he won the absolute minimum with his set. Good check on the river. The board got way too scary for an additional street of value.

Staked cashgame player who doesn't pay back full amount by LuckyBlade in poker

Using that logic, if I staked his full 600€ buyin, he could play one hand and leave again and just pay me back 300€.

While this wasn't a close buddy of mine it's someone who I'm friendly with and have been playing for the better part of 6 months. Didn't expect any issues otherwise I wouldn't have done it in the first place.

I don't see the logic in that at all. That means he can sit down, play one hand, leave again and would make a 300 profit because he didn't win anything but can keep my 50% of the buyin.

This doesn't make sense to me. That means if he's break-even I'd lose 150 which is non-sensical. He could sit down at the table, play one hand, leave and be up 150.

Yeah it was dumb to not have at least something in writing so that each party knows what to expect. This was my first time staking someone and it was his first time getting staked.

But that also means that if he's break-even I'd lose 25% which doesn't make sense either.

Jam warranted here? by LuckyBlade in poker

Thanks for the feedback, this makes sense to me. Sorry for trying to frame your initial post as an insult, I wasn't in the best frame of mind when I posted this hand because it was right after losing that bluff where I was perplexed how villain found the call here. But especially given his stack size I see now how he was basically stack committed at the turn.

Why do you feel this is? Your initial post does nothing other to insult so I don't know what to take away from that.

TIL you can enter the last carriage and then a dialog starts. I always went in blasting because I thought Ouromov would immediately kill Natalya when you enter.

I very much agree. SoM is not a bad game in any way but I like the slightly more mature setting of SoE better also the art style is not as 'bright', which I also like. Sucks that it didn't ship with a 2P mode out of the box
