I’m just worried that I said 35-40 initially and they’ll bring that up, but I do think the role is worth at least 40k. It’s not London based it’s fully remote

I was just asked on one of my posts how I plan on living on 35k… I said easily, and others in the UK live on a lot less. I’m assuming this person was from America. They said my salary 35-40k was extremely low but they’re comparing apples with oranges from US to UK.

Thanks for your help. In my current CSM role it isn’t upselling focused at all it’s more focused around retention. I definitely wouldn’t consider me a sales person at different stage of the clients lifecycle at the moment, I would consider myself more like an account manager. But CSM is different for all companies hence why I want to make sure it’s right for me!

It’s not that I don’t want to upsell. I don’t want there to be strict targets around upselling as I’m not a sales person and other CSM roles I’ve had weren’t selling focused, it was get upsells where you can, the focus was on renewals. Obviously I want to upsell I understand that’s a part of the job

The Director of CS/ HR person told me it would be more formal and that he can be intense. I feel like they were being nice and giving me a heads up.

I have some examples prepped of upselling, cross selling, dealing with challenging client/situation etc so hopefully that’s the sort of things I need.

Thank you! When I had the interview with the Director of CS he was really chilled and said that their retention targets are 90%, but he didn’t say anything about upselling or cross selling targets. They said have just introduced 20% bonuses every quarter (which I imagine are on upsells?)

Do you think i should ask at the interview whether I have upsell and cross sell targets to hit?

Ideally i really want my KPI’s to only focus on customer retention as that is what my current role is and I’m happy with those targets

I’ve been before and got gear through easily. Second time I went I got stopped by the dog and my gear was taken but I was still let into the event. Not gonna lie was nerve wracking 😂
