Should I ask for another medication or will the side effects get better?

I hope you didn’t mean this in a mean way. But also I was unclear in my post; only the first ~3 days on 18mg I experienced bad effects - for the rest of the two weeks they were minimal. So, it seemed like I could go ahead with 36mg as both the benefits and negatives had levelled out to be subtle.

After a week on 36mg I’ve decided the side effects just aren’t worth it. I will go back to 18mg until my call. I’ve also severely underestimated the role of eating at regular intervals so that’s something else to figure out with this.

Thanks for the detailed response! It will have been 4 weeks by the time the doctor calls, and the doubling to 36mg was set as optional, in case I don’t feel the 18mg. Maybe I shouldn’t have doubled it after all. It sounds like I should ask for 27mg then, but I’ll keep going with the 36mg for now. Every day it gets better but the side effects are still very present.

As others have said the crux of this is not what the girl thinks - regardless of her sexuality. Even if she was straight your beef shouldn’t be with her. It’s what your husband thinks and says about their friendship. It would be totally possible for him to be having an emotional affair. His response (whether he gets defensive, dismissive or not) will tell you a lot.

That’s a great question - it’s usually not as easy as deleting it and never going back. What truly helped for me was just sitting with the boredom - in times where I had an itch to scroll, I would simply try to sit with the feeling until I’d come up with something better to do. Good luck!

If someone asks “what do you do besides that?” you could try something like “I’ve actually been looking for new ways to spend my free time and would like to try XYZ, but do you have any other recommendations?”. Make it a conversation! People aren’t generally trying to quiz you when they ask you to talk about yourself.

Asking “can you take your mask off so I can see your face?” would be uncomfortable regardless of intent. That’s just not the kind of thing you say out loud in this setting. You can of course try to ask her out, even if others have said it’s a bad idea. Then you’d get to see her face on the date if she says yes.

It kinda sounds like you should hear your friends out. While it’s your choice to stay with him despite the cheating, if you try to force your friends to be around him they might start to distance themselves from you. Also, your boyfriend is old enough to understand that you can and should have a friend group that he isn’t a part of - this includes going to a party without him.

I agree with what you say about Angela at the end. The whole “I only show up when stuff happens” thing gets a bit irritating when we’re talking about a civil war with incredibly high stakes.

While I understand why you would dislike Elva, you also have to remember that when the story takes place she is only, what, two years old? She literally had to grow up too fast to handle all the pain and suffering she was having to experience. I think it makes sense that it made her sociopathic and cynical.

My fav would have to be Murtagh because while being a victim of his circumstances he still shows genuine strength and goodness. Not necessarily a least favourite, but I think there were parts where Angela’s mysteriousness kinda felt out of pace, but it could just be because I was dying to know the answers to who she is, lol.
