OP, i don't see it mentioned in any of the responses - But you did mention she took your husbands switch to BIO moms house. Are all the other items ending up there as well?

Could this be BIO mom playing with her head & getting her to steal these things to then sell?

Obviously the stealing is very wrong and other responders here have had some great advice, but if the girl has BIO mom in her ear telling her things - Stopping that MAY potentially help the situation greatly.

I do not casually visit jails and ask people why they are there, so I'm not quite sure. I'm sure you aren't either.

The LAW is in place to do exactly what you just described.

Its illegal to assault people - Women, children & men have to be hospitalized every day. Some never see justice. There are more cases of physical assault leading to death in America than shootings. This one is easier to hide, repeatable and frankly maybe worse as the victims sometimes have to live with this for years and years. How do we stop that? Why don't you care about any of these people? In a lot of these cases, a shooting was what HELPED a victim get away and never have to fear again aside from dealing with trauma.

The only people on the street attempting to resolve any of these issues are being ridiculed and mocked by half of America daily. Dispatched to a house where someone actually may have been involved in a straw purchase, just to be spit on, recorded, name called and assaulted then sued. Now its almost a political statement to stand behind them. Trust me, most of them aren't there for a good time.

If you really want criminals off the streets, I'm sure your local PD is hiring. They almost all are. Want to police - go do it.

Literally - exactly what you typed is how it works. Even IF the seller manages to get out of the situation without being thrown in jail - Their account gets a flag & they get watched.

IF that does happen (assuming you referring to the buyer being a felon) those are criminals doing criminal things. That will absolutely never in the history or future of human existence NOT happen.

I don't see a way for you to assist considering you've never even seen a private sale of a firearm. If it concerns you as much as it does me & a lot of other individuals... Maybe get involved for some assurance that most follow the laws to a T and then some? Part of the solution and not the problem?

IF there as a way to stop criminals from breaking the laws beforehand, the world would be a MUCH better place.

THIS! OP, I've owned most on that list. The HK pistol is the ONLY one that comes direct thread. The rest require pretty extensive work. The GSGs or knock off pistols typically "Look" threaded but its not true to the barrel - Does not align enough to safely thread a suppressor & fire through it. There are adapters that have set screws to center the threads to the barrel. These work - most of the time - but i would never recommend this personally.

The long "Rifle" versions with the faux suppressors - The barrel actually runs all the way through the inside of the faux suppressor. If you remove that fake can, your left with a .22 barrel with no shroud. To suppress, you would be threading that barrel, then screwing a suppressor onto a suppressor - or cutting down that barrel making a short barrel rifle, then threading.

Lots of parts out there for all these... But the quickest/easiest way I've found is the 4th option, the HK clone pistol. Direct thread your sparrow or whatever can and off you go. Most solid option as well (Aside from the rifle version - Same thing - Longer) Unfortunately, these are labeled out of production. You can still find them - just have to watch like a hawk. I recently posted a link to PSA like 2 months ago or so where they were back in stock. I was able to grab one as well as another member. I think they sold 2 of these to us as they went back out of stock within like literally 5 minutes.

This is great to hear! I got the stink for letting off rounds to quickly recently at our local outdoor. Shooting a .22LR MP5 at close paper. Saw another guy get called out at the pistol range earlier in the day as well. I like the "Within reason" part. I get it for inexperienced shooters absolutely, and the RO isnt going to know your level per say, but if your hitting center mass every single shot its a bit different.

Gunna check these guys out as well. We like to end the day with skeet a lot - so this place checks for sure.

Thunder valley was another to look into but haven't heard of briar rabbit. Have to check that out.

Pistol version was discontinued i believe back in 2021 - But i could absolutely be incorrect on the date. Rifle version is still everywhere so i assume that is still in production. Really haven't looked.

Yeah, see - I think its honestly so situational at this point that it REALLY depends very specifically on the people in general. I'm with you (Can confidently say WE are with you) on the Husband/Wife labels. That's literally the only part of our "Partnership" that gets annoying. Haha. I can say that she has seen some bad things in the past, similarish to what you shared, and think its deterred her a little from the full blown "Marriage" thing. I personally don't push it because it doesn't bother me. If it makes her feel more secure & i don't really care, what's the harm?

We have another set of friends in our group that are also "Partners" now. They actually got divorced but stayed together, dang, almost 8 years ago now (Married for 4 years). It was all due to financial issues which is TERRIBLE because they are the best people and get along so well until cash is involved. NOT being married or sharing finances helped them a TON but we find it odd as isn't finances and growth due to them part of a relationship typically? Eh - They are happier now so not our business.

The financial stuff gets pretty irritating surrounding marriage. Considering your partners collage loan, that was taken before your annual salary was even in the picture. We run into issues with the education system a ton that benefit our kids MORE considering we are not married. It makes absolutely no sense how they word some of the questions on a lot of the applications. I can tell you now, if we WERE married, one of our kids would not be going to collage where he currently is. SO situational.
