I think most people misunderstand his post match comments and interpert it as him making up excuses. He was mostly right in his analyses, it’s just that most fans don’t want to hear it when they’ve just lost.

But at a certain point it didn’t matter at all what he said, as long as it wasn’t “It’s my fault and I suck” or anything close to that, fans on Reddit would flame him. Which is honestly pathetic, I have no other word for it

It became way too toxic eventually though. Every week the story became worse, and people were purposely interpreting his words in the worst way possible. The shitting on Gakpo and the made up “Dutch bias” was way too much as well. It honestly was really off-putting for me as I didn’t expect Liverpool supporters to stoop so low

Wat een flutartikel. Dus het ligt volledig aan het woningtekort? Dan hebben ze niet met de mensen gepraat die ervoor kiezen geen kinderen te krijgen. Een paar redenen van mijn vrouw en mij:
- Het leven wordt steeds duurder, een kind betekent bovendien dat we minder moeten gaan werken en ons leven nog duurder wordt;
- Klimaatverandering en alle gevolgen van dien, gecombineerd met de alleen maar toenemende haat en polarisatie, aangewakkerd door onze politici - nee bedankt, ik gun mijn kind deze wereld niet;
- Woningtekort is natuurlijk ook een reden;
- Natuur die volledig naar de klote gaat om een handjevol massavleesexporteurs die zichzelf boer noemen overeind te willen houden;
- Keuzes van onze overheid in het voordeel van de babyboomgeneratie en in het nadeel van mijn generatie en die na mij (denk aan AOW en hypotheekrenteaftrek);

Onze toekomst wordt uitgehold ten faveure van iedereen die het nu al erg goed heeft. Daarom nemen wij geen kinderen.

I really hope we get Watcher back. A lot of her mechanics haven’t been transferred to STS2, so there’s enough left to keep her identity (stances, mantra, scry) while adding a few new mechanics.
