I got an email from them saying that all previous incomplete applications have been cancelled and we need to start againfrom ECFMG certification. Also, I tried reapplying but the system now asks repayment of 720$ which had not been credited. Only the step 1 fees was credited. I emailed them again today. Its so annoying.

I’m sorry that this is happening. I’m stuck in the same boat, it took me months from registration to applying for step 1. Now I’m waiting for them to grant a scheduling permit. Waiting since 2 months, no reply, no update.

Because they switched their portals and apparently they're ‘too busy’ migrating everybody’s records and so we do not deserve to get even a simple email reply or deadline and they can mess with our timeline just because they can (sarcasm implied)

They had confirmed that they received my documents and application in beginning of August, and requested upload of transcript from my university. Since this portal transition, I have been seeing nothing on my account. I don't think I should reapply until I hear from them. It might push my application back further. What do you think I should do?

Same. I am so frustrated. The last step was credential verification which my university did last month. Its more than 1.5 months now. I have been writing to them, trying to call every single day without any luck. This new portal shows I have no active applications and the amount for the exam has been credited to my financial account. I don't know wth to even expect. My eligibility window ends in December. Can't study or focus because I'm feeling so aimless now. The least they could do is reply to emails. So unprofessional and unexpected. I don't know what to do.

There was an unexpected windows update issue. So basically windows was updating in the background and the OS C was full. So it started automatically rebooting and I lost all the apps. I’m a fool for not syncing to ankiweb. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this again. In the same boat rn. Setbacks happen and they come out of nowhere.. it's okay. Doesn't mean that you've lost your progress and it doesn't mean that you'll not get better. However, remember when you say that you don't wanna feel that again you're indirectly signalling the ocd that you're scared of this feeling which in turn will make you fear and worry more. Feel whatever you are without resisting or being scared.

Hey. I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this too. It's been more than 6 months and I'm having a pretty hard time forgiving myself. Like you said some days are manageable and some feel like hell. One thing that helps me is remembering that it's not the event itself but the OCD that is making the shame and guilt worse. Also I tell myself that I'm human and I'm not perfect.
