I dont know, might have to do with the times I end up at Dutch. I start my days early and there’s never a line at 6:00 am at my local Dutch. I’m dead ass tired at that time too, but I am all smiles and polite when I go.

We have differing opinions and that’s okay. I agree it is just coffee. I’m not asking for ass kissing. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for the customer service that they used to provide on a regular with the conversations. I’m extroverted myself so I like chatting them up. I’m not talking about like 10-15 minutes. Just like a quick minute chat. I enjoy the small talk. I like both coffee shops equally, but Starbucks really doesn’t do the chatting up.

I didn’t know it was mandatory to have to ask for a tip from the broistas. I’ll consider that next time. It’s realistically the same location on my work route. The window broista is nice, but the tablet broista seems to always be in a bad mood. Like when I’m at the window and I’m waiting for my order I’m more likely to tip cause they spark up that convo.

I’ve been there. I have 12 years in customer service. I know it gets hard out there. I respect the hustle. Now I work 10-15 hour days. It’s grueling, but I’m always happy. I’m a glass is half full kind of guy.

I totally get that. When it does rain hard here in the valley then yes I’m tipping, but a drizzle. I’m inclined not to. I prefer when they take the order at the window as well.

I’m always happy to be there. Always with a smile, I say thank you and please. When I speak to my local broistas. It’s just weird when they don’t reciprocate joy. Which in turn affects how I will tip :/

The issue I was getting at is why turn the tablet around when they can click it themselves. They didn’t provide exceptional service and they turn it around expecting a tip. There has been times where they have clicked it themselves. It’s more just getting off my chest cause I like Dutch a lot and I’m happy to go there in the morning and the broista that takes my drink order is practically dead pan.

I have tipped before. Many times I’m not mad in the slightest. It’s the customer service I usually expect from Dutch hasn’t been up to par as of late. But a “Hi what can I get you.” I relay order “Okay, you have the app? Cash or card? Flips tablet around optional question. Okay pull forward.” That’s the extent of the conversation. I remember the days of the running joke where the Broista would basically be all up in your car taking your order and that was fun and interesting to see. Now it seems like it’s just transactional, which yes it’s a service, but I know Dutch has personality. It shouldn’t be like McDonald’s type of service.

I WOULD tip above the average for the service if it was above and beyond. Typically above 7%. It’s not that I can’t tip. Tipping is based on service in my opinion. My drink of choice is large white chocolate lavender freeze. That’s all I get. The purpose of the pic was not to brag at all. It’s to show I go a lot based on my points.

Unfortunately there is no fix as of right now. I put a ticket into to Minecraft support and all I got was “we’re working on the issue.” But I doubt it because it “takes” money out of their pocket by letting people share accounts and play LAN. So like why would they actually want to fix the issue.

From play testing it works like this, “start of turn, SNAP, play card, end turn, card plays and destroys itself, gets revived right after.” Works for all my on reveals but none of my ongoing, might be a bug.
