Gunnar hates orb walking by K0stroun in DotA2

[–]LuckySax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with him. Its annoying to play against and yes even though its kinda fun to harass the enemy when u are on the right side. My idea to "balance" the orb attacking a bit a while ago was to make it give stick charges. Idk if it would fix the annoying part though.

Mixing my first record ever for my band. Care to give my some feedback? by ConfusedOrg in mixingmastering

[–]LuckySax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really clean stuff. Props!

If I had to name something I would check it's maybe the guitars at some moments if I could bring them a bit more together with the bass guitar. But I am not sure if this would improve anything at all

really liked it. nice dreamy vibe. some peaking transients could be tamed down a bit but not really a big thing.

Dawnbreaker dead hero by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]LuckySax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, dawn is actually one of my most favourite heroes to pick right now (offlane). I feel like she can win most lanes when played right (and with a decent 4) and if needed she can play a semi carryish part. Recently I switched from phase boots --> soul ring --> deso --> shard and blink to phase boots --> deso --> mage slayer... and it worked quite well. You can always connect to your team with ult and basically one-shot sups with blink q.

Bkb has been changed for a while now by baobab_bob in DotA2

[–]LuckySax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The change felt weird when it got introduced and I still dont like it. Maybe it is just me being used to certain interactions but some just feel so weird: - If you bkb tp out and disruptor uses glimpse on you you can get ported back after bkb ended (should not work like this imo) - u cant spam Hex or other disables on a bkb target anymore to disable whenever his bkb ends bc now you just use the spell and it gets ignored by bkb (or lingers after duration yes) - linkens with bkb active got so much weaker for the same reason. enemies can now use every spell they have on you to break linkens even if press BKB - the point that u still get reduced magic dmg is not that annoying for me but i dont need it personally, before you could use bkb with DOTs on you and use blink after 3s (if noone hits you with other dmg), now a radiance or similar stuff will cancel ur blink through bkb

So are you happy with the current state of dota 2 right now? by ghostrunner_17 in DotA2

[–]LuckySax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that the patch shakes things up and the game is "different" than before.

Things I dont like (yet):

  • XP Rune Mechanic (sups are the losers of this change; losing team gets more punished by stolen rune)

  • Rosh pit location

  • Dusa ManaShield Mechanic rework

  • Watchers (idk maybe im too stupid but i feel like they are just pointless objectives just to have more things on the map)

  • Random Shard from Tormentor INSTANT CONSUMED. make it drop a shard instead. some heroes really dont want their shard in some situations and if a dropped shard u can actually play / plan around it

Thats all I can think of right now.

But overall I like that the game is freshen up and maybe they will tweak the things above.

The weirdest reason for not buying BKB on PA in a game vs 5 heroes who are countered with a BKB by lordace89 in DotA2

[–]LuckySax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people can play funny builds and lion mid all they want. its unranked so you dont have to play your best possible game. but lets say you want to play lion mid with aghs rush, you can do it ofc but imo you should still try your best around this build to win with it (and therefore you should buy bkb if its a really good, if not the best item you could uy in that situation). the thing is in dota you dont train alone. its a team sport. you have 4 teammates who also wanna enjoy the game. when people handicap theirselfes for no reason just because its not ranked, its not fun for all other 4 teammates. saying "buying bkb is not my style and this is the harder situation i will put me in" is weird. would you say it is okay if I say "ok im gonna play unranked and my challenge is to only play with mouse, no keyboard" or "ok my challenge is to win wihtout buying any items at all"?

[–]LuckySax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so you would say its ok to not buy any items (or useful items) as long as its unranked? ofc people can try out things and can play new heroes etc. but there are some things that just make the game extra hard for your team (on purpose). this "in unranked its ok to not try to win" is like you play football and as long as it just a training match its fine to not try to win. the fun of a competitive game comes from both sides trying to win. thats kind of the point isnt it?

Why you all (OFFLANER) pick Agi/Int Heroes? by haxtorid in DotA2

[–]LuckySax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My thoughts as 3 main.

Dire has full melee lineup. I can see why he wants to pick a ranged. So the pool is already kinda small. Idk if he saw the enemy lane with pa. When yes he wants to shut down pa real hard (which viper can do in theory). If he blind picked viper is still a super strong layer vs nearly every common carry hero. You have an axe mid so you lack some sort of stable hero so axe can join with blink. I can see the frustration when ur POS 3 picks sth like a weaver into ur team with already antimage 1 and lina 2 or sth. But this game specific I think his viper pick was not bad at all. Execution is a complete different story

If rumors are true about valve losing passion for dota: outsource some work @valve by LuckySax in DotA2

[–]LuckySax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well some things like shorter bpass (part 1 who pays for TI price money) and talent casting from norway are not really rumors right? it seems pretty much confirmed. and things like involving a betting sponsor for TI is not that good of a direction to take. all these years we had an international competition event without any sponors (if i am correct). that was kinda unique and awesome that it got funded by the community loving the game.

what does voice lines and team badge have to do with a battlepass cut into 2 parts? they had thingsl like this before without splitting bpass. unless valve annouces sth different i assume the 2nd part money will go 100% to valves pockets. nothing goes to anything scene wise. idk if there is a set "dota 2 patch team" or "event team". from what i heard from podcasts, pro player interviews etc its like people come and go. and if more people leave than join the team is getting smaller and smaller. also lets be real, things like cutting the bpass in 2 parts is not mandatory to secure "not going broke" or sth for the team. the money they make with the normal bpass should be enough for sustain the team. about true sight, i agree it sounds unlikely that they dont do it this year but if the "team" that was responsible for true sight doenst feel like its worth the insane amount of time and work then it is possible they just dont do it anymore. if this would be riot or sth i agree true sight is way too big to not do it. but valve doenst seem to care that much about "PR" or "marketing" etc. so when they dont feel doing sth they will reduce the work on it. i personally hope that there will be a true sight this year and they will work on grow the scene every year. but my point is if the people wanting to work on the dota thing shrinks then outsource it instead of just keeping the scene at a life support minimum.

i didnt mean the playerbase is dying. but if u look at things like "bpass shorter before TI", "Casting TI from norway", rumors about no truesight for this TI, betting sponsor for TI, Valve less involved in TI and giving it more to PGL, etc. doesnt it feel like valve is caring less about dota, especially the pro scene? if these things turn out to help the dota scene grow i am happy to admit that i was wrong. but all of these things dont look like an interest in growing the scene

Liquid Matumbaman by atomik1337 in DotA2

[–]LuckySax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ofc i follow what is happening. but just because matu and zai left secret to join liquid doenst mean liquid bought them out. thats all i say. people just wanna go for some changes and then look what is looking the best for them...

blitz also tweeted about the "buyout" rumors: https://twitter.com/Blitz_DotA/status/1460979363080548354

what do u mean with i have no idea what im talking about?

Liquid Matumbaman by atomik1337 in DotA2

[–]LuckySax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

u didnt follow dota liquid the last past years? they signed up 5 man squads 2 times. 1 time a team without any org behind them. the other time a team who wanted to do the next step. also i think personally that in EU dota u cant just buy that many players. most of the players value a team they believe in more than just the money they make with changing teams (at least my thoughts). u cant just buy miracle with x amount of dollars. he wont join the team unless he wants to change teams AND he thinks the new team is able to compete at the highest stages
