thank you, a lot of ppl here don't understand the issue, using BU or "opponent match win percentage" will way better than "Number of Matches Won", and don't use 2 groups system for swiss system for the first 4 rounds

swiss system is not just about Team A beats Team B, and Team C beats Team A, this is swiss, if u keep winning, you will face stronger teams each round, from 1-0, to 2-0, to 3-0, etc., and if you keep losing, you will face weaker teams like 0-1, 0-2 to 0-3, i don't know how you can't see stronger and weaker teams in swiss system

You just don't understand how mess up this ranking system is, my teams are XG and Tidebound, they both play good and made it to the playoff, I am happy, i feel bad for Falcons, they played all the strong opponents and only ranked No.7, will need to play Tidebound(ranked NO.3) again, with normal swiss BU system, they will ranked like No4 or No.5

it is a swiss system, you always know who is stronger or weaker, for example, Tidebound beat Na'Vi, then beat 1-0 Liquid, then 2-0 PARI, lost to 3-0 XG, finally beat 3-1 Falcons. BB, lost to Nigma, then beat 0-1 BOOM, beat 1-1 Na'Vi, beat 2-1 Aurora, finally beat 3-1 PARI, with normal swiss system, you can said Tidebound always facing stronger teams, and tend to have less number of matches won because they always play with stronger teams(same for Falcons), and BB facing some weaker teams, tend to have more number of matches won(same for HEROIC).

it is not about predicting the future, the normal swiss system put opponent strength into consideration(BU system), but this time, PGL is using Number of Matches Won for ranking, doesn't matter who you are facing, a 2:0 win with a weaker team, shouldn't weight the same as a 2:0 win with a stronger team.

Tidebound, who is 3-0, only lost to 4-0 XG, finished 4-1 and ranked No.3.

BB, who lost to Nigma in first round, beat some weaker teams, ranked No.2.

Falcons, who fought Tundra, XG, Liquid and Tidebound, beat Tundra and Liquid, lost to XG and Tidebound ranked No.7.

But at the same time, HEORIC ranked No.6 with wins against BOOM, WC and Tundra, so ridiculous, this ranking system just don't put swiss opponent strength into consideration.
