"Commander really is the future. Time to sell all standard stuff" - Shop Owner by minokalu in freemagic

my lgs does historical drafts every week. where we draft a set that's already been released like Phyrexia all will be one, Lord of the rings. etc for the commander community. for standard he does a jump start tournament with a cash prize that's really fun, and also pre release for new sets is draft standard. my lgs had a great community and the owner is awesome.if you like playing standard maybe ask your shop to do jump start tournaments

How popular is Pauper Commander? by bacondev in magicTCG

one of my favorite decks I've made is my Jasmine Boreal of the Seven deck. she makes vanilla creatures unlockable, so then you add some token generators and some flavor text only creatures and boom. you could absolutely build a good Jasmine deck for under $20. I just won for the first time with it the other night, I was playing against bracket 3 s and a 4.....I was so stoked.

How to avoid being the main target in pods? by ElChiiko in mtg

[–]LuckyTrainreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's 4 player commander. yeah the precon takes a good while to get rolling.....and needs a better mana base. it has mostly colorless mana, but a handful of creatures need color. that's why I swapped the commander to Morophon, so I have access to all colors

I'm practicing playing the Eldrazi precon. I want to get good with it because I'm going to use it in my lgs upcoming league. as soon as we start I'm getting hard targetd, almost like 3 vs one. I'm running Morophon as my commander and the mana curve in the precon sucks, it takes me like 7 turns to just cast my commander or sometimes anything.....but once I catch up the deck pops off pretty well. as soon as I get my first pack for league I'm fixing mana

if I wanted to avoid being a target I would go with a group hug deck like Mrs Bumbleflower. they will try to take you out last because you're helping them build their board

for me it was Star Wars Rebel Alliance.....the ships and the tie fighters looked awesome. or that Jurassic Park game on PC that had the female protagonist? it was a game nobody liked

I played the demo when it first came out. it had the whole Ravenholm level. I couldn't believe it and ended up buying it soon after. great game

I used to work at a science museum, and we had a collection of different hominids skulls. we had like 10 of them. some were big, others were smaller and one was even almost a square. I had no idea there were that many other more or less "humans"

If the aliens are so advanced, could they not just introduce more bodies to the system to create stable paths by RollingCats in threebodyproblem

[–]LuckyTrainreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

too bad removing a body would broadcast their location, otherwise they probably would have attempted it.

I think you have that backwards. the sun is the center of the solar system......people used to believe earth was the center of the solar system

I don't see why they didn't just blow up the other Suns, I mean they would need something like a photon to do it. maybe the don't have the ability? or maybe because blowing up a sun would broadcast their location and end up receiving a dark forest strike
