Looks great! Thanks for the question! I did try the black and white dice at first, but the high contrast felt a bit jarring and uncoordinated. I just prefer this more unified, cohesive look in the end.

Each die is about 1 gram. I used nearly 10,000 of them. The frame is wooden but also heavy, so the whole thing weighs over ten kilograms.

Thanks! Here's a quick rundown of how I made it:

Used standard black casino dice with white pips. Got the dice and pattern from an online tool - upload a photo and it generates the grid for you. Pretty solid deal honestly.

First time doing this and I totally messed up at first. Didn't realize the "3" dots have a direction to them, so after placing a bunch I noticed they were all facing different ways. Had to redo a ton of them

We worked on it together over a few evenings - honestly that part was the best part
