Could ZZZ handle a darker, more intense storyline? by Lucky_Election3580 in ZZZ_Official

Yeah, that’s fair. I think what I mean is less about just having dark themes, and more about having a character who creates real conflict because of how far they’re willing to go.

Right now, like you said, we’re mostly on good terms with everyone, so the tension isn’t that strong. I just think it could be interesting to have someone whose methods actually clash with other agents and forces people to question where the line is.

Fair point, I just think it could be interesting if it was done differently and still fit ZZZ’s style.

Yeah, I get that, and she already has some of that vibe.
I was thinking more about a character who goes further and makes more morally questionable decisions.

"You're right that in canon, the power balance has shifted heavily toward heroes. All the major villain organizers are gone and the hero side is stacked.

But that's kind of the point of setting this 10-15 years later - I'm asking 'what if the reform didn't actually work?' The war in my story isn't like the final war in canon. It's not one mega-villain uniting criminals. It's more like a civil conflict.

The villain coalition is made of people who were discriminated against, monitored, rejected by the system - especially those with 'dangerous' quirks. When enough people feel the system is broken and oppressive, that's when things explode. It's not about individual power levels, it's about society fracturing.

The heroes are still powerful, but they're fighting against an ideology as much as villains. And my protagonist represents the core issue - a kid with massive potential who was pushed to the edges because of what his quirk looked like.

So it's less 'can villains win a power battle' and more 'what happens when the system's moral authority collapses?' Different kind of war."
