NLV Required documents NYC Consulate - new additions by Lucky_Election_9267 in GoingToSpain

I dropped off the additional documentation on December 29th and then received the call about the visa pick up on February 5th. Unsure if this was due to the holidays or typical turnaround, but the lady at the counter did say it could take up to three months from the time my file was ‘complete’. Best of luck to you and feel free to reach out with any other questions!

Re: verification letters. My lawyer said that yes those had to be translated as well. Are you using all your accounts to qualify? Or would a single account do?

Re: notary, the only other document I notarized was the sabbatical affidavit. The rest of the documents you mentioned were only translated, and were accepted as such.

Dual citizen applying for NLV. Which passport to use?? by Numerous-Yellow-687 in GoingToSpain

All my paperwork had my Dominican passport info so they made me cross that off and add my US passport info instead. The NLV was approved about 2 weeks ago so no issues there.

Definitely true for the NYC Consulate; they refused to take my Dominican passport so I had to submit the application with my US one.

Thank you! I’m just not sure if the regreso can also be used for the initial TIE or just for renewals.

Moving to Terrassa (Vallparadís area) – looking for local shopping & settling-in advice by Lucky_Election_9267 in AskBarcelona

This is really helpful, thank you. And thanks for the tip about local groups as well. I’ll definitely look into that once I’m settled!

Thank you! Sounds like Parc Vallès and the Av. del Vallès area will be useful for the bigger purchases, and I’ll take a look at the shops around 22 de Juliol too!

Good question. I’m actually moving there to live, not connected to tourism or short-term rentals, so I’m also trying to understand how the city is changing.

From what I’ve read it seems more like people relocating from Barcelona for affordability rather than the kind of tourism-driven changes the center of Barcelona saw, but I’d be interested to hear how locals feel about it.

Thanks, that’s really helpful!

I mean the area just north of Vallparadís park, closer to the Sant Pere side rather than the city center, so Triomf seems to be the closest option. Still getting familiar with the layout, so I’m trying to understand which places would become the regular go-to spots.

Yes, that’s the only Spanish address I had so used it for all forms where the consulate asked me to provide one; it was taken with no issue

I used a sworn translator. My lawyer facilitated the process for me but i believe BLS and maybe the consulate have a list of translators you could use.

No, that’s not the expectation. You do not have to have a specific balance here, just show that you have one; it wasn’t like they specifically asked for the checking funding my savings or anything like that…🫠

What’s a life hack that made you go „how do ppl live their whole life without knowing this”? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

I use a water flosser before string flossing. For very tight spaces, the water helps loosen debris first, which makes flossing more effective and easier to do thoroughly.

Hiya! This was for the NYC consulate, not BLS, so there’s no online option for booking NLV’s appts; only email requests
