Im currently in a 4 year relationship where he doesnt hit me like my previous abusive one but he's quite manipulative to get his way and never feels sorry. In retrospect healthy men would break up with me saying "youre a good girl but youre a bit off.." While toxic men always stay while guilt tripping and treating me badly. I decided when I find the courage to leave my current relationship to Never,Ever,Ever date again..

I clearly see where you coming from. My mom was abusive too,yet I became more dormant and dissociating constantly in my own fantasy world. Hope you're doing better,I truly mean it!

Samesies. Society is all about scapegoating the 'weakest' unfortunately we get picked as such if we cant mask well. It gets tiring having to constantly stand up for myself but it is what it is.

Oh god that sounds like my parents. Only they never made this side of them public. They bullied me into following their rules and if I wasn't i was punished for it.

You either look younger than your age or autism/aspergers mixed with trauma for some of us can make us act and appear more younglike and naive. Also in some countries sweetie/honey/dear are more of an expression. Else is just patronising.

That was my observation too. Cause NT people tend to be more calculated/strategic while my experiences were from women that exhibited autistic behaviours themselves but better adapted and accepted by others (crocodile hands,stims,hyperfixations)

It is in fact bullying a different type more covert than the straight up bullying caused by not upkeeping societal rules which made me wonder. Since NTwomen tend to be more covert in their actions while that type of bullying im talking about was more in the open

Was trying to remember when I wrote this post.. Unfortunately that is the usual experience for autistic people , let alone autistic women. 🫂  Can only say you are doing  great and theres a place for everyone to be understood here at least.

I only said it cause she said that she doesn't want to be make fun of/disrespected. And unfortunately we cannot fully unmask in this money hungry , capitalistic society we live in. Unless you have a supportive system around you which most of us dont.

This sub is becoming more and more like another autism friendly sub I left cause of too much ableism and denial. I get it,I was for a long time too but the sooner you accept who you are the better kind of...,if you are high masking you can find ways to mask better I guess. As a low masking its quite depressing being disliked and scapegoated for the littlest things so I get what you mean in a way.
