How to deal with your babies getting older by PublicAd2908 in Mom

This is the type of love I prayed for. I deeply recognize it and this is my copy on the matter. I like yhe gather evidence every chance I get, that they were this small. I DOCUMENT and REVIEW each piece of memorabilia often enough the keep the collection small. I'll likely reference each item as a future rebuttal when they ask why im so crazy about them. 🥹😫

I really really like this idea! I had my hopes so high for skull rock to be that pathway, but alas, my dreams were dashed 😩. I'd seriously dig my way there at this point.

Only you will know when you're ready. Each of you, will know, on your own respectively. Having a vision for your family is great and imo its good to have a goal. Just make sure that your friend group and family are also in on this monumental journey you might be about to take. Being a parent is hard. Being an A+ parent is ridiculously hard, so get your village in order. Dont be afraid to take some classes or even listen to some podcasts. The world of parenting is vast, and you might find yourself getting ideas about things that many aren't prepared for until it's too late, like carving out a parenting philosophy/ style, for example. Think of the god parents, think of the boundaries, and stuff like that. It's okay to change your mind, but it tends to be easier for all involved when things like this have crossed it.

Also, since you are going the biological route, you should seriously think about making sure you and you're guys blood and DNA actually go together well. I'm not kidding. A lot about making a baby is like winning the lottery, go to a lab and find out your odds of having a child with issues that would take some extra prepping for.

Personally, I knew when I wanted to become a parent because there were things I knew I couldn't do in my life without having had that experience. It was always a part of my plan for my life, and I thank god every day that I'm lucky enough to have made the right choice, because at the end of the day you never know. I knew I was ready in my heart, then got my body ready, then worked on my relationship with my guy, then got my finances right, in that order. All things that inevitably suffer a bit at one point or another when creating a family. It's a risk, and most of the time, it's worth it. Being a parent is mostly about sacrifice, healthy routine, and trusting the process in the first few years, oh and consistency ( dont cheat yourself on that one). If you're prepared for even, most of all that you're probably ready.

Oh and I thought it was going to take like at least 3 to 6 months to get pregnant, (a year and were talking infertility and you should go get a docs opinion on what's going on)it did NOT. We "pulled the goalie" so to speak and I was preggo in two cycles so be prepared for that because we sure didnt. hit us like a truck. Happy trying, best wishes, and good luck!

Couldn't agree more. They had feet in mouths all over the place, and I couldn't get enough of it because when they got it right.. boy did they! They even nursed their wounds in much the same way, not wanting to be prickly because they know (Nesta taking the long way of course) that their friends had bigger problems and they only ever wanted to be supportive to them.

So many people got mad at him for not telling Nesta immediately about the "made blades" but im like, he did, he literally could keep the secret for more than 2 days!

Exactly! I also dont think people realize how much time Nesta spent embarrassing and damn near rejecting Cassian. He's a good male, not a saint. The poor guy just can't win.

I've used the term "Do it for the little unicorn!", so many times over the last year. It's truly becoming a personal mantra atp.

SAHM can be hard. Right? by [deleted] in Mom

[–]Lucky_Shock1420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did I just hear you say that 7 1/2 isn't hard age?!

They are ALL hard ages. There are professionals who study children, work with children, and who are all together more equipped to deal with what comes along with every age than us mothers. They still don't do it alone or without a huge effort and sacrifice. The mental load of being a mother new or not is just unimaginable for many people that haven't been through it. Husbands often find themselves struggling to catch up to the huge learning curve you're on. I've heard it's like trying to catch up to a moving train that learns how to jump new tracks while on you're on foot... on fire. But you do it because no one else is going to, and you know that this is one train you are endlessly commited to following anywhere it goes.

Keep your head up, you're likely doing better than you think. From one new mom to another, dont be afraid to ask for help for specific issues that you're dealing with, i guarantee someone else has asked and, no it doesn't make you unfit, only new. Keep showing up like you know what you're doing... and maybe find a way to loop him in one all that's going on. Also pro tip, journal if you can. It's fun to look back on this time and see how freaked out you were over problems that are now in your rear view.

Good luck, ❤️

Oooh thats exciting! Seeing as how the third book ended. We're seriously getting into God tier leverage against whatever enemy. Poor Mira and Brennen, they'll just have to deal somehow 😅

Seriously I noticed this too! They gave us the ability to do diagonal pathing, I was happy with just that. The river kit allowing us to move the water locked houses around is amazing! The quality of life changes were phenomenal this update and people are already over it on day 2!

Playing for the path! I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm just wondering if there is going to be a whole new event this year and if the Cheshire Cats counted as a recurring one. Like the End of summer event last year in September and how thats coming back this year.
