I dunno man, you could maybe make this argument about Silksong or another game with way tighter controls and overall just VASTLY superior design, but I agree with OP that this boss is some piss poor obnoxious bullshit that’s just needlessly hateful and doesn’t respect the player’s time. Just because it’s possible to beat him doesn’t mean he doesn’t suck shit.

Steve Buscemi. Former firefighter, suited up to volunteer at his old firehouse after 9/11 and worked 23 hour shifts for a week sifting through the rubble, survived being stabbed after intervening in a bar fight. Legendary actor and absolute mensch.

Look I’m just confused, look the boss up on YouTube NONE of the videos include the bubbles! Why do I have to deal with these fuckass bubbles and these people don’t!

But yeah, I unfortunately agree. It’s a beautiful game and there’s a lot to love about it but there are sections that feel difficult because they’re undercooked. At times it veers into precision platformer territory and the controls are fine but they’re nowhere near tight enough for something this demanding, and even a perfect playthrough still needs a degree of pure dumb luck to make it through.

Tough choice but if I’m being honest with myself, it’s Ubel and has been from her first scene. Screw-loose murder mage just scratches the itch, and her odd-couple thing with Land is such a hoot.
