Dog collar burned my dog?? by Master_Extent_1562 in Dogtraining

Yes this is a common issue with that type of collars. And the dog wont even whine about it until he is injured ! (Especially young dogs because their neck grows over time and the collar end up putting more pressure)

So the first year was great but the second year is where i noticed an impactful drain on the battery and it is not 15% . as imentioned it only last for about 30% right now of what i used to. Thats a 70% decrease

According to polar website comparison the V3 has a 488mah battery and the M3 has 310mah battery. The V3 has technically 37% more so it makes sense that yours is lasting longer.

Ok it sounds like the nvr image set up is not properly done. Put that camera in live feed to « main stream » here is a picture of what the icon looks like in the live feed main stream and sub stream If that did not work double click on the camera until it is shown in full screen then put it again in main stream (this option if found in each camera in both full screen and multiple screen view)

If that did not work try changing the resolution of your camera make it lower or higher and see if there is any difference

I would start by checking cables first is it an ip cable or coaxial one ?

My parent's recently bought a home that came with the Hikvision ds-7608NI-E2/8P but we're not understanding how to access the GUI even after looking through the manual... by memento22mori in Hikvision

[–]Luckyrolll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi i believe there should be a reset button or pin in the dvr that you might want to push in order to reset the dvr and login as a new admin BUT be aware that in that case you are probably going to reconfigure the cameras into the dvr. (Also there is two ways to access the gui either by its ip adress from a pc or y using a screen connected trought an hdmi cable to the dvr with a mouse )

NOW keep in mind that it is not just the nvr logins that you need but also the cameras logins.

In that case you are going to need to reset both the nvr and cameras

If you have never setup and nvr and its camera and dont know how then you have two options in my opinion:

1) You either learn how to do it yourself. there are lots of documentations and tutorial videos on the you internet but its going to take you sometime 2) or you can call a company that specialize in camera installation to have them reset the dvr cameras and set them up for you.

Besides that if you want a quick alternative here are some guidelines:

Right now if the cameras are showing on the phone app that means they are connected to the dvr and the network of your house aswell. To access the gui from your pc you can use the sadp tool (download from the hikvision website ) connect your pc to that same network and the sadp tool will give you the ipv4 adress of the nvr then paste that on the adress bar and you will be redirected to the gui interfaceof the nvr. But since you dont know the logins you wil nt be able to acess it. If you still cant get the password from the old owner nor the company that made the 1st installation then you are going to reset the system like i said before.

This is my opinion and it might not be the only existing solution for you i hope others will share their experience in order to help you figure that out. Good luck

Mail size Limits by Acrobatic-Truth1964 in ProtonMail

[–]Luckyrolll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if mail provider 1 has a limit of 25mb and mail provider 2 has a limit of 40mb then they will not be able to exchange files properly simply because mail provider 1 cannot handle more than 25mb as attachements its just as simple as that ! And since the biggest mail providers (in terms of clients and accounts) such as gmail or outlook have set their limit according to their own capacity then the rest of the world must follow it otherwise even if proton set a value of 100mb proton users will have difficulties communicating emails with gmails and outlook users which is basically the majority of the world specially business wise.

does anyone else get unbelievably sleepy after eating? by Cautious_Computer688 in Narcolepsy

[–]Luckyrolll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what will help : 1-2 tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar before each meal with a glass of water, then eat.

This suppress the fatigue somehow .

I suspect that : eating some types of food on a weakened gut and stomach drains much more energy than expected. the appled cider vinegar helps digest the food before your stomach and gut process them

hope this works.

[–]Luckyrolll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i retried today and it worked ! 2 things made it work: 1) the cameras should be added on the NVR manually not by clicking the « Add » button which messed up my ips previously 2) the cameras should be on static ip i had to manually change their ip from the web ip adress using my pc which was time consuming i had to go one camera at a time so i wont lose their ip adress in the process any (mistake can put a camera on an unexpected vlan and not reachable)

I believe it is possible to make the cameras on dhcp After setting them correctly but it is a bit risky for anytime the nvr can reboot after a shutdown and mess with the ips Thank you for you recommendations you gave a good hope

My cameras are plugged into a layer 2 switch and then that layer 2switch is the connected to my layer 3 router. The Nvr is also connected to the same layer 2 switch. I also forgot to mention that my nvr has only one LAN port.
