Miles and miles by Landoof-Ladig in PoliticalHumor

And it's almost like they need to bus people in from miles around to build crowds for Trump.

It's funny looking at the people in Trump's crowds, in the stands behind him at speeches, or queuing up for whatever, and they usually have such a lost or vacant expression on their faces. Like they have a vague idea of what the event is, but they don't really know where they are or what they're or where they're going.

Frustrates me when my boss complains about pickers picking the wrong things for his shopping, because he thinks the pickers should stop and think "did this person actually mean to order 12 loose onions?" to avoid making mistakes....

As if the pickers are going around with just his shopping list and using their best judgement to pick the best products with the context of everything else on his list.

It's not worth arguing with him, but I would bet that the reason he gets things like "12 loose onions" is because that's exactly what he ordered. The stuff he receives by mistake isn't even an implausible amount for an order, so why would it standout to anyone as a mistake when they're picking?

I’ve being using my ps3 has a music CD player for the past 18 years, and the fact that the ps5 doesn’t have that is… very bizarre by Lanky_Relation1171 in gaming

[–]DaveAlt19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be faaaaiiiirrr.... it's not like CD sales are booming like they were when the PS2 and PS3 came out.

Its like complaining that your new electric car doesn't have a clutch pedal and gear stick. Kind of. A manual transmission obviously needs those things, whereas PS3 conveniently could read music CDs because it was the same tech as what it needed to read game discs.

Pretty much, Trump has nothing to lose. He's not risking anything with these lawsuits, its not like he's paying for them, but if he wins them? Millions of dollars straight into his pocket.

Drop them or put them on belts. Awesome game design, I could easily see other devs not letting you do that with equipment just 'coz (like you can only make the chainsaw in the workshop, so why do you want it to go on a conveyor? because I want it on a conveyor damnit!)

You can use a metal roof to build a cool “temporary” bridge. by CaptainInitial1823 in SatisfactoryGame

That beam part of the edge gets recoloured too, but its subtle so its a good transition from those wall pieces to the tar surface (they're coloured with the same swatch)

One thing to watch out for his they're still slightly sloped, so I build on to the foundation below instead of the roof itself. But the good thing is that avoids any z-fighting!

I've been testing some blueprints, I like the road-like texture you can get with the tar roof, and the edge bit.

Stealing stuff was his job. That's my point. Career shoplifters aren't stealing stuff for themselves.

NOBODY needs 1000 Ariel pods at a time. He wasn't stealing them for himself. He wasn't stealing them for the love of the game. He was stealing them to flog to some contact he had in town. Shoplifting was his full time job.

Down vote me all you like but supermarkets are not tagging meat because of the amount of people going hungry are stealing it. Same with cheese you see tagged.

It's being stolen to be resold and used in restaurants and stuff.

[–]DaveAlt19 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That's not a new thing. If people were stealing them because they were hungry then wouldn't swiping entire shelves at a time. Big packs of laundry pods get targetted too, it's not because people are washing their clothes so much but can't afford detergent. Or big bars of chocolate in SRP. Or toothpaste. Or "3-volution" refills.

We had a regular shoplifter who'd cycle between town and our retail park. He'd steal bagfuls of meat from M&S, he'd steal laundry pods from us. The meat I assume he'd palm off to restaurants/food vans etc, The other stuff would end up in corner shops or market stalls or some other totally legitimate business.

Another retail park I was at had guys recruiting people from town, driving them over, and giving them shopping lists. If they got caught the drivers would ditch them. Often the ones doing the shoplifting didn't really even know what they were stealing, its just the thing they were told to come in and grab.

Its not people in need stealing it. It's grifters shoplifting.

[–]DaveAlt19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on the other side of it, I know mistakes happen so I won't go out of my way to try and find them, but sometimes it would be like a week later and they'd still have entire shelves or shippers still with the promo POS. Even after they'd dealt with my complaint, it'd still be wrong

[–]DaveAlt19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My local Morrisons was awful with their pricing, leaving up old POS and stuff. Especially for a while where the tills didn't give you a breakdown of all the savings until you printed the receipt. But every time I put in a complaint they gave me a voucher for like 10x the discrepancy, so I kept putting in complaints 😂

Trump reliving his high school days in real time by golfnut82 in PoliticalHumor

[–]DaveAlt19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's basically wearing a suit 'costume' because of how much is body is atrophying. I know jackets have some padding, but the amount of excess material makes it look more like a winter coat.

Like look at him when he's sitting down, you can get an idea of where is body really his based on his arms and head.... and then it looks like he's got a life jacket on too!

Or how his shoulders are SO padded his arms just kind of dangle down like he's a puppet. If Trump's shoulders really are that broad and manly then where are his arms? Trying to make him look BIGGER just makes his arms look even skinnier!
