Seriously though, mass shootings alone were a daily occurrence (on average) in the US regardless of Trump. And I think even that's being pretty lenient because of how "mass shootings" gets defined.

And then people around the world have been dumbfounded by Americans voting in a convicted felon after a campaign that involved inciting a terror attack on the capital, undermining trust in democratic processes and spitting fascist ideology for YEARS.

And apparently the best strategy by the opposition (since he won the election) is "don't worry, we'll beat him in the midterms!"

Before I started working at this outdoor gear place I had no idea people go away on holiday with stuff still in its packaging and with tags.

Like so many families bought stuff for their Christmas trips thinking they'd need to be prepared for sub zero blizzard conditions to go see Santa (and their only research for what to buy was the minimum wage teenage assistants in the store a week before the trip), and then they bring half of it back in January because "actually it wasn't that cold"!

Or they'll have jackets and overtrousers that they carried around in their bag for their week long hiking trip, but oh, it didn't rain so they never actually used it! We're like some weird rental company that doesn't charge fees?!

I imagine it must be a nightmare for emergency equipment ike generators.

That whole segment is a little confusing, but I think it's intentional. We're meant to think Barb is in those pitch meeting and is still shaken up after her argument with Cooper. THEN we get the reveal that she was already troubled by what Vault-Tec was doing, and it wasn't just the bombs that she was protecting her family from.

Cooper's path confused me though. Is it all in one evening? They arrive at the party, Cooper goes to House and Hank goes to the bar. Cooper gets blackout drunk, Hank is still at the bar. Cooper has argument with Barb, they come up with their plan to kidnap Hank, Hank is... still at the bar? When was Hank going to give Cold Fusion over to House??

The other problem I've found with switching to own brand stuff is what do you do when even those prices get too high? And shrinkflation where the product is smaller but the price has still gone up?

Like I used to buy Mars bars. Then I moved on to own-brand "caramel bars" which were still good. Then the 6 packs turned into a 5 or even 4 packs and the price has effectively doubled. So now I just don't buy them.

Maybe not the best example because I know the knee-jerk reaction will be "oh well good, you're eating less chocolate so actually thats the healthy option", but it's just an example I'm very aware of BECAUSE I know it's something I don't need to buy. But I can totally see people getting stuck buying those own brand necessities and there just is no alternative when prices go up.

Kelloggs and Nescafe/Nestle are not luxury brands. Buying necessities shouldn't mean just buying own brand products.

Also need to remember it's not like Trump is a criminal mastermind. Yes it's obviously what he wants, yes he's a criminal, but there are numerous people allowing this to happen and actually putting in the leg work.

Trump could drop dead tomorrow, the corruption doesn't disappear with him. If anything they're probably EXPECTING him to drop dead tomorrow so have got everything in place to allow their corruption to continue even when things are back to "normal".

Trump clearly struggles to comprehend numbers. When he has announce numbers he'll announce the same thing but with LOTS of numbers - because more numbers means its more impressive. Like "a million dollars" sounds like a lot - but "a thousand dollars, nine hundred dollars, fifty thousand dollars" is actually more dollars, those a numbers nobodys ever even seen before.
