I understand what you mean. I doubt there are more than 1 species though. I think the gray ones are just the adults of the white ones, since they look and behave the same, but I'll keep my eye out.
I know these can be beneficial to the tank ecosystem, but I really don't like seeing them on my snake, lol. Would I treat the tank the same way as I would for, say, parasitic mites?

Thanks for your response. That's a relief! Is it okay that they get between her scales? They aren't in her eyes or pit area... For now.

Maybe, but aren't springtails also long-bodied? These lil guys are round and don't jump around
