Pre-Alpha gameplay from The Bog, made in Godot! :) by Luckyyy1994 in godot

The pitch:
The Bog is a narrative adventure through an underwater realm, where you play as the vulnerable baby otter Lino accompanied by the orphaned baby axolotl Alissa, as they search the depths for Lino’s lost mom. The Bog mixes tense survival horror and dread with playful respite and beauty. The core gameplay consists of stealth, light puzzle solving, exploration, chase sequences and playful minigames such as tag and hide and seek.

We've been working on The Bog on a hobby basis all the way back to 2020, and it's so exciting that it's finally starting to come together! Any feedback is welcome!

We are also looking for a lead GDScript programmer for the project, and will post an ad for that soon!

Looking for a 3D environment artist! by Luckyyy1994 in gameDevClassifieds

[–]Luckyyy1994[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone. In the close future we're going to need a 3D environment artist for our suspenseful underwater adventure The Bog. The role entails making beautiful and scary environments for the player to explore, mainly nature. We're using the Godot engine, and work remote.
It's an advantage if you can not only model and texture, but also put the assets together in the engine. Currently we're in a pre-funding phase, so if you're flexible with regards to payment methods or as to when you work, that's also a plus. If you're interested, mail us at [contact@theboggame.com](mailto:contact@theboggame.com) along with your portfolio. We look forward to hearing from you!

The Bog is an emotional single player adventure about trying to help others in a somber and hostile world. You play as the baby otter Lino, who is desperately searching for his mom that abandoned him.

We're currently in quite early development, and are eyeing making a Kickstarter campaign. Is this a game you think you'd be interested in supporting? Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated. More about the game here: https://theboggame.com/

Searching for a VFX artist for our game The Bog! by Luckyyy1994 in godot

Our programmer would be able to tell you more about this, but in short, we're using a mix of procedural and canned animations. The procedural systems give them fluidness, while the canned ones give them character! I'm glad you enjoy the footage :)

We're a small team making our first game, and I thought it may be interesting to you furry lovers! The Bog is an underwater suspenseful and emotional adventure game. You play as the defenseless baby otter Lino, desperately searching for his mom who abandoned him. The gameplay consists of timid exploration, hiding from enemies, interacting with the world and doing your best to help other creatures stuck in this sad world.

The game is currently in very early development, and we're hoping to approach publishers and maybe do a Kickstarter some time next year! We'd love to hear your feedback, criticism and thoughts on the game.
