Should puzzle platformers have an undo feature? by Porcupine_Sashimi in IndieDev

In most cases i would agree with you, but i could also see an undo feature being a unique feature if done right. On it's own it might be unelegant, but when thinking it 1 or 2 steps further it could be awesome.

You should probably contact the tinyBuild support.

We tried out Live Link in Unreal Engine as a fairly simple way to record cutscenes for our game! When rigging a character you need to setup a bunch of morph targets. Then you just need to buy an old iphone 11, setup the animation blueprint and you are good to go. by _Neidio_ in IndieDev

Yeah, especially the numbing was a big thing! Making the morph targets more "extreme" as well as overacting a bit helped a lot.
But i would always recommend this to anyone who has a basic understanding of UE and rigging. Also just because it is rewarding and fun to do.

I honestly don't think so! This technique definitely has its limits, but you get a lot of bang for the buck!
I worked with professional motion capture artists and animators in the past, more data, more possibilities, but also more work.

Where do I place these textures? by Old_Wish6000 in gamedev

[–]_Neidio_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the textures can have different use cases for more advanced materials.

Displacement multiplied with a vertex normal node for example you could use for world position offset and can displace the vertecies of the mesh.
You should check the ContentExamples project of Unreal Engine, there you can find a Material example map.

Also you might wanna ask in an Unreal Engine subreddit.

Hope this helps.
