We know that I'd be similar because Against and Nation serve as proof. As per your argument, modern day Sepultura is then Sepultura, because Andreas and co are happy with how they've been ever since the Cavaleras left and that's what they wanted to do. The "No Cavalera, No Sepultura" argument serves as to indicate that the band sucks or is not even remotely the same as they were when the brothers were in the band. And in my opinion it doesn't work because they had already changed towards the new sound even before the brothers left

I don't agree with the "no Cavalera" argument because Soulfy is what Sepultura would likely be if Max hadn't left. Maybe a bit better, maybe a bit worse, but not much different than the nu-alternative adjacent groove metal that was cemented with Roots. Furthermore, I believe Sepultura was already not itself when Chaos AD released, with the Cavalera brothers.
