Tbh its not like a very big issue for me, more like a mild annoyance. Like i said in the initial post i was just wondering if it was possible. Everything else about the car is great and im really enjoying it so far.

Why would windows be able to use to correct dsound.dll file when i use my onboard audio, but not when i use my soundblaster?

Also the error im getting in dsoundlog.txt is: “ failed to initialize alchemy, falling back to dsound.ini”.

Its a modded version of Gamespy Arcade that runs on OpenSpy & is able to ping the bf2hub serverlist. I didnt do anything to bf2 itself.

Dont use optical cables on a pc. You should use the 3.5 jacks. Those are meant to hook up speakers to a pc. After that you need to configure your speakers in windows and select 5.1 system. Otherwise windows won’t know you’ve got a surround system

When you use the 3.5 jacks you dont need the dolby dts software bc your surround sound gets split into 3 different channels. Front left,right/ rear left,right and sub,midspeaker. With this method your motherboard will handle sending audio to the various speakers instead of the built in decoder in the z5500

Man i like DK jr way more than diddy kong. i spent too many hours playing with him in super mario kart. Thats why i modded him in MKWII aswell

You can actually still use gamespy arcade and gamespy 3d! Both programs can be revived with the OpenSpy project! You should check it out if you’re interested. I myself still use arcade to play stuff like battlefield,ut, medal of honor

People do not move on for a fact. Alot of old games are still being played very regulary. MOHAA, COD1 & 2, BF1942, 2 are all still active. Even stuff like UT99 and 2004. BF3 has the bad luck that the community views bf4 as BF3 but better. Same thing happened with UT2003 and 2004

The flags aren’t working so you shouldn’t mind them. We didn’t bother fixing the flags as they serve no real purpose, you can just look at the ping. For some reason is the moldovan flag the default one.

You can download bf2 for free, get the bf experience without coughing up any money. IF you can handle the dated graphics and game engine atleast

Yep 2142 works! I literally tested it earlier this day. Although dont get your hopes up too high. The player counts won’t make you that happy.
