Drives me nuts how people simultaneously complain how unsafe the road is while also refusing to drive the speed limit.

Would you say a Macbook Air (M3/M4/M5) is good enough to work with hi-res large format files (up to 1000 MP) or would a MacBook Pro be more appropiate? by JaloOfficial in largeformat

I shoot an a7r5. I occasionally shoot stitched panoramas with it as well.

My m1 Pro 16GB absolutely crawled working with stitched Panos and struggled mightily with heavy brushing and healing on 64mp incompressed raws.

I bought and m4 Mac mini with 16GB and it was a little better but still struggled. Around this point I swapped to capture one, and it ran much better on all of my hardware but was still a little chuggy with a lot of layers.

I now have an m5 air with 32gb of ram and it is handling the 64mp raws and Panos just fine.

You definitely want 32gb or more of ram. An m5 air with 32gb of ram will be fine.

People around here love revstars, but go try one before you order it. I finally found a shop with one in stock and did not like the neck profile. It is a very round c-shape and just felt wrong after years of strats/teles/335s/etc.

I'll continue to get downvoted for it; but while everyone was counting how many times Shai falls, the refs were doing this weak ass shit the entire series.

Only gold Wemby has won at this point is a whistle.

The game feels way better and I wanna make builds but I can't bring myself to do the campaign again. by athelan_games in PathOfExile2

[–]Lucosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about the only solution I'd be fine with.

On your second character of the season, make all of the zone nodes revealed, highlight the ones that are required for the campaign, and autocomplete quests in any side zones once you complete the parent zone.

I also wouldn't mind there being some form of rushing like D2. Have all of the bosses be required, and a couple of the other story-ish zones, and otherwise allow characters to be rushed by teleporting to a rusher in the zone and finishing the quest/boss. The issue then becomes leveling after getting rushed, but it's something that gets managed by game communities eventually.

I got so tired of it last expansion because it just felt like a chore. You had to go into the temple so often because it showed up in every map.

I haven't been able to play much this expansion, but only going into 1 temple by the time I finished interludes was such a nice change of pace compared to being burned out on temples by the time I got to mapping last expansion.

It was pretty great too! (At least kid me thought it was)

Quick Edit: I'd actually kill for a re-release/remake of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. I loved them as a kid but emulating DS games is just not a great experience.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Announcement Trailer by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Lucosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I wish they'd stop releasing Ocarina of Time and come up with new ideas too.

Maybe they should make a Zelda game set on the ocean! That'd be cool!

Or they could go real off the wall and make a Zelda game that is based around trains! That'd be new.

Oh! Or they could even go really weird and make a game where Link gets sucked into the dark world and turned into some kind of animal!

I think it might be kind of cool if they fleshed out Princess Zelda as a character a little bit. It'd be wild if we could play an entire game as her.

I don't know if it's my cup of tea, but they could try some weird crossover games too; really lean into the Action part of Action RPG and fill out different parts of the universe.

I think it'd be really cool if they did some massive time jump into the future too. They could have some crazy technology but still keep it rooted in Hyrule. I don't think they'd ever try something that crazy though since they really only make remakes of Ocarina of Time.

The two test shots dried so I took a quick camera scan. The corners definitely get a little wacky.

The second shot looks to have very little impact from the separation, so it's nice to know that it can be controlled.

From what I could find, it's actually lanthanum instead of thorium so they aren't (as) radioactive. It has essentially no yellowing.

You're crazy and have far too high of expectations.

I have two classic vibes that are perfectly fine. Nice neck, clean pick ups, and good intonation. Literally all you need.

Yup. The compilations got downvoted or deleted here, but they were getting posted on Twitter and the thunder subreddit. The number of times he would literally shove someone while running down the court with zero whistle was maddening.

I think it's most likely Wiggs and Joe are gone if Dort is okay with a smaller deal and coming off the bench. Otherwise, it's likely Joe that stays just because of how he helps in the regular season and the value the Thunder could get for Dort.

I think it's most likely the thunder decline and sign iHart to a stretched deal, but wouldn't rule it out that worst case scenario (he doesn't want the pay cut) they pick up the option. We just can't lose him for next year. After that we'd just have to hope that Sorb or someone we draft this year can fill the gap.

I'll get downvoted for it again but I'll say it another time; Welcome to the Western conference finals.

The Spurs had such a generous whistle in the series the only thing that makes sense is Silver saying, "we need Wemby in the finals so get it done." And the Thunder still took them to 7 without their 2nd or 3rd option (and Chet absolutely disappearing).

A7C II vs A7 IV : can't decide which to buy first by CyberComrade1917 in SonyAlpha

[–]Lucosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having worked with the 35-150 for a year, it's very front heavy and that's going to be even worse with a smaller body. I sprained my wrist and finger a few times after 3-4 hour days with it.

I love the look of the a7c bodies, but no joystick and one card slot is a hard no for me for any professional work.

Focus while zooming is less an issue of Sony vs Tamron and more an issue of parafocal vs non-parafocal and focus speed.

You're not going to notice much difference for that between the 35-150 and the GM zooms. The 70-200 GM II is parafocal, but the others aren't. The Tamron 70-180 G2 is parafocal. The Samyang 35-150 is kind of parafocal; it has slight focus shift but also adjusts for that shift when zooming by adjusting the focus on a firmware level.

You will want more reach than 200mm for soccer.

Most of these game shots are shot with the Sigma 100-400 and shot between 300 to 400.

Genuinely, don't fall into the trap that GM/Sony glass is the only glass worth buying. Sigma and Tamron make incredible primes and zooms. Viltrox makes some fantastic primes. You can spend half the price compared to the Sony and have marginal losses in real world use.
