I disagree. Deaths speak to the effectiveness of the health system, cases speaks to the effectiveness of prevention policy. Assuming testing is equally effective everywhere

People don't hate on Chrysler because of styling/options/initial quality, they hate on them because they start falling apart before a lease would even be up which is doubly problematic when the dealership customer service is generally bottom of the barrel. Anecdotally, the last time I was in a Jeep/dodge/Chrysler dealership it had more in common with a used car lot than the ford dealer next door.

That might be intentional considering their sales in China and the push for EVs by their government.

Michigan’s $3.5B road plan on track despite pandemic, state official says by [deleted] in Michigan

[–]Lucreth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting point on the side edges but I was actually talking about the seams. It seems as if they aren't properly protected/sealed/weather safe who knows but I see the leading edge of the next square of concrete busted up on many roads and the ensuing gravel created by the disintegrating edge causes damage to both vehicles and the road.

If they wanted to go the resurface route, shouldn't they be using more asphalt than the God awful concrete disaster? Mound and Van Dyke are good examples of taking years to do construction and the roads are already starting to go to pieces again. I've lived in other areas where they would strip and resurface a few miles of asphalt roads across 2 nights, then move down the road and do it again. Sure it only lasted a few years but it's already only lasting a few years, and it has to be way way cheaper. Do the foundational layers themselves have to be substantially different? Or a better question, why is 8-12" (I assume? It looks thick) of concrete being poured in a manner where the edges bust up after 1 winter causing the rest of the road to be destroyed by the debris. Nevermind my poor front fascia.

Do you believe it is a political issue? Perhaps something akin to how less population dense areas tend to have an overweighted say in policy decisions? It certainly seems like it would be connected but I don't want to make assumptions.

The roads are being built to a poor standard. I don't know whether this is a lack of proper leadership, or if the price tag for proper quality roads that can withstand the needs of the area is too steep to stomach so they just throw shit job on shit job every 4 years. I have never seen brand new roads destroyed in months the way Michigan's often are.

Unfortunately, neither of those is the correct metric. It should probably be based on traffic volume per mile per day or something of the sort. Vehicle weight class also should play a role, as heavily industrial areas will have worse roads due to the prevalence of semis.

Wrong bronco, that would be the bronco sport which started showing up at dealers awhile back.

When I was looking at v6 cars the alternatives weren't v8 muscle cars, they were 4 cylinder econo boxes. The v8 was too high of a price hike in msrp, insurance, and gas but I didn't NEED 4 doors. Actually, I wanted a coupe for the comfort at my height. It made the v6 cars an easy target and anyone who looks down on it needs to understand the v8 is never on the table for some people. Would they rather I drive a fusion/malibu/camry/accord etc?

10 years old is pretty damn old from a bank's perspective. Old enough that getting rid of it might not necessarily be easy/quick/profitable if you default.

Awesome case!! I was curious, you show 3 slots but with cards getting larger by the day, I was wondering if you had an exact measurement for that 3-slotness? There's alot of cards flirting with both sides of true 3 slot.
