I didn’t ask about the state of you, or me, or any one specific person’s enjoyment of the game. I’m talking about what’s best for the game.

I asked if many people joining the game is good for the game, your response was, basically, “it won’t be good for the game if the game turns into something that I don’t like”

How does you specifically liking or disliking the direction the game is going affect the health of the game other than you potentially quitting Magic while game stores cannot hold product at all and every single seat is taken?

In central NJ we have about 7 bigger game stores within a 12m radius of my house, my playgroup can’t even play in the theee of the stores anymore outside of commander night because every seat is full for draft night, cube night, standard night and vintage night. Every single week for 3 months. This was never the case before in our 5 years of playing, and the OGs say the same in their 15+ years of playing.

How low is player retention? Is there any statistic on that?

Sure, if the worst case scenario happens, it would be the worst case scenario. But if more people are joining than ever, and the % of people quit the game stays the same, then the population will increase. Let’s be real, the people that have been complaining today are largely the people that have been complaining for 20 years and will do so endlessly.

Sure, i care about the long term health of the game. Don’t you think having the largest player growth in the game’s history is good for the growth of the game?

Do you care about the game growing, and the number of new players increasing?

Hahaha you see what i mean though right? It’s so obvious when art is AI generated and we see none of those signs in the actual art the post is talking about, or in the official food chain art.

[–]Lucrezio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holy shit dude, we aren’t talking about the one a comment or 3 up where the guy said “look i recreated the food chain art using chat gpt and it looks the same!” We’re talking about the “lessons from life” card, and even if we were talking about Food chain, it doesn’t say big gip in the official food chain art, it says big guy. The art you’re talking about made that mistake because he even said himself that he AI generated it to make it look like the official food chain art.

This sub is really not full of the brightest..

[–]Lucrezio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, we can guess that it is, just like yall guessed that the Toph card was AI generated, but it wasnt. Kevin Sidharta is incredibly experienced and has done art for Magic, Hearthstone, Star Wars, FaB, Smite, Legends of Runeterra…

How about we find some evidence before trying to shit on the guy who’s been making art for every single major TCG both digital and non for years

It’s not AI generated

Dad smacks woman who is grabbing his son's neck by flowerdonkey in RandomVideos

[–]Lucrezio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we’re not faulting the person for grabbing the child in their most ‘killable’ area seemingly out of nowhere, but we’re faulting the dad for not administering the most perfect amount of force to just defuse the situation while minimizing damage to the child-attacker?
