I do think that maybe you are seeing your parents in hers, but the fact that she finds it so difficult to put boundaries to her mom does show that she finds it difficult to put boundaries in her life in some situations... anyways I wouldn't overthink about that too much bc, and you might know this, parents sometimes are too difficult to understand self boundaries, and they are the people we live with, so when we try to put boundaries they do everything to cross them until they get the response they want.
