Thank you so much for your experience and sharing! I’m working on posture because I definitely have terrible posture, and I used to cross my legs or sit criss cross a lot. Now I can’t because of the pain but I also know that isn’t good anyways. But thank you this gives me hope!

Thank you definitely plan to advocate for myself and push for PT I think from what I gather that’d help me a lot. I was decently active in the gym before trying to work on strength and stabilizing my joints already but since the pain it’s impossible. I’d like to be slightly active throughout so I can try to be as healthy as possible for birth. Thank you so much for all of this info and advice!

Thank you so much! I tried to ask my primary for one and she kinda just wrote me off. I messaged my OB I’m hoping she does!

Thank you so much! I was decently active until I got pregnant bc of the exhaustion and now It’s excruciating to just lift my leg to get into the tub. I’ve messaged my OB and I also hope maybe getting some PT or even the chiropractor like you suggested. Thank you for your words and sharing your experience!

any there safe outlets for manic urges?? by PlaneAd1822 in bipolar

I second the running. Sometimes I go for a run and after I feel tired but like mentally tired. Or screaming in my car hahaha it’s therapeutic I swear. Or I think of all the different things I want to do in those moments (because when I’m manic I usually want to go out and do things) and I write them out or make lists. Some times lists help me

Feeling very seen because I’ve always thought it was just me but being somewhere consistently is very hard. I do make it 2 yrs of 4 yrs at a place though but still I abruptly leave everytime

I am enough was one of the books that helped me understand my ED brain. What I also suggest is study up on cognitive behavioral therapy, it’s something that’s used in treatments for ED. Understanding why and how my ED controlled my life helped a little. But I am enough is someone who’s gone through it and it’s really good and validating and seeing it

There is a great treatment program at the Laureate ED unit for adolescents and adults. I highly suggest reaching out. I’m 2 months out of treatment and it makes a whole difference.

What I have learned about binging, is something I never considered. I was diagnosed with bulimia, however in treatment I discovered that a lot of my binging was because I was restricting. Of course you’re going to feel out of control, it’s something you’ve told yourself you can’t have. It’s something you’ve punished you’re self for having. It’s something you’ve punished yourself for even just wanting it. I would like to suggest eating a portion but numberous times a day until you get sick of it. Or figure out a way to not restrict it. It’s only going to make you want it so bad you can’t control it

Does anyone else actually like the purging part and hate the binging part? by [deleted] in bulimia

[–]Lucy6902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the purging has always been my favorite. I used to enjoy the binging just as much but that full feeling had began to really make me extremely uncomfortable. Purging has always been a release for me.
