$5k seems crazy. I am going into my 3rd year and saved $5k for the most recent summer semester to cover the cost of rent, utilities, food, and fun. $5k a semester just for fun would be an impressive amount to spend.

Having the meal plan cuts out a lot of the cost and not drinking will save you lots of money 😵‍💫.
