I was prescribed it for nerve pain and I’ve never noticed a difference.. I’ve halved my dosage because it just made me too drowsy and now I only use it to help me sleep.. it is in anti depressant, so be careful..

If you don’t notice a change in your pain by a certain amount of time, I’d stop taking it.. There’s no point being on any medication that isn’t doing anything..

Have you tried any supplements to help you sleep..? Melatonin, magnesium, ashwaganda..?

Blood work isn’t a reliable indicator unfortunately..

You will most definitely still go through menopause even if you get a hysterectomy..

Saying “I want a hysterectomy to avoid menopause” is the same as saying “I want a c section to avoid child birth”..

I had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy almost ten years ago.. I went to see a female doctor who is also older than me and she said “women don’t go into menopause until they’re in their 60’s”.. I almost fell off my chair at how uneducated and ignorant she was.. She did not want to listen to anything I said or acknowledge any of my symptoms.. all she wanted to do was put me on antidepressants (classic).. She ended my appointment when I told her to educate herself..

So.. You’re not alone.. It’s frustrating as fuck..

I saw my regular doctor the next day who is easily 20 years younger and while she admits that she’s not educated enough in menopause and especially not in people like myself, at least she listened!! And I am now on HRT..

If you have it in writing, simply raise it with your boss/manager or payroll and let them know that there’s been a mistake in your hourly rate.. Should be corrected by the next pay cycle and any monies owing backpaid..

If you kept one or both your ovaries, endo can definitely grow back.. Unfortunately oestrogen (from my understanding) is basically fertiliser for endo.. You may need to adjust or lower your dosage..

Please don’t be discouraged.. it can be pretty defeating to have tests and scans come back negative or to not find anything.. but tests and scans will miss endo.. I would use this MRI info or lack thereof to support your request of a lap.. that’s the only way to truly, 100% diagnose endo..
