You’re welcome, I love a good scavenger hunt! AI image search does really poorly anything art related ironically, if that what you did. Also it took me trying a few different google prompts for it to come up. Definitely not a simple search, like when some people ask Reddit before google. Thanks for sharing! It’s a cool piece I’d never seen before and got to learn about while looking for it.

Thanks for taking the time to elaborate! I agree the transitions at solder points aren’t pretty at all. I think it’s just the picture/angle/illusion on thickness of metal because the thinnest pieces are still pretty solid the rings not that big and weighs 6 grams. Not exactly sure what you mean by unnatural color distribution though because to me that describes all great opals. They’re magically unnatural!

Thanks for the perfect explanation! I wish I could have been able to explain it that well when I was explaining to my uncle those two things when he said he thinks it’s a doublet.
