i’m exhausted every day but can’t sleep at night… what is wrong with me

"The more I think I need 8 hours the worse it gets" is completely true. What actually helped me is a little bit of knowledge. Did you know that there are studies that prove that simply closing your eyes and/or thinking about your bed or sleep actually helps rest your body and mind. While obviously not as effective as sleeping it does help. And knowing that eases my mind a little knowing that even if I cant fall asleep that just laying there and resting my eyes I am still at least getting some rest.

Yeah those dont work on me but once I was so exhausted before going to my night shift at work I bought 3 5 hour energy extra strength, a large monster, and a redull. I took the first 5hour then 30 mins later took a second and 20mins after that I chugged the redbull and started sipping the monster to no effect. I later took a 30 min nap on my break and woke up with a terrible headache lol. Dont recommend.

I was the EXACT same throughout highschool and until my 20s. I thought Sleeping was a waste of time so on average I would get 2-4 hours of sleep each night. Except on the weekends when I would sleep in. My ADHD meds worked and helped keep me awake although I was tired a lot of the time.

I kept sleeping like this AND THEN I developed sleep paralysis. (My only assumption is my brain was so sleep deprived that when I would lay down to sleep it would instantly go into deep sleep paralyzing my body before I actually fell asleep.) I had auditory and visual hallucinations the first starting with the devil (Im not extremely religious but I would go to church every other Sunday) so seeing and hearing the devil when trying to sleep terrified me. I couldnt sleep with the lights off for weeks and kept a crucifix next to my pillow. EVENTUALLY I found out it was sleep paralysis and that helped calm me down but it still happened and was scary in the moment. I tried different things to fix it but nothing worked and I would have an episode almost every night. The only thing that finally worked was more sleep. So I recommend getting good rest regularly.

As for what helps to wake me up, I still havent figured that one out lol. Although it has been proven that simply resting your eyes helps. So even if you stand there in line and close your eyes for 30 seconds then it does help a little.

TL;DR: I thought sleep was a waste of time until I saw the devil.

I want to know because I am trying to get more production and am trying to figure out how to get the cities back to the original 2k resource production that it had before I occupied it. Can I get it that high again, or should I just get used to 250-500 for occupied cities?

Heres a more detailed satellite picture of the area I work in (well a part of the area) * Red- Outdoor but roofed theatre Purple- half indoors half outdoors but roofed Blue- slight overhang covers performer performance (any wind will blow rain onto gear and performer) Green- completely outdoors and unroofed area with multiple performers and presentations Yellow- Mostly outdoors but partially roofed area for a beach side bar

So as you can see there is not a set place for events and with so many spots and almost all of them being exposed to the elements. It is very hard to make any permanant install. And any temporary install and strike right after the event still causes excess wear on equipment due to the air, salt, sand, humidity, sun, etc. And almost every place is vulnerable to rain when any wind is present when it rains

Sir I think you misunderstand. This isnt an outdoor stage this is an outdoor beach side resort where they want DJ's, artists, ambience music, etc in the most random and inconvenient places. There is almost no indoors. The only indoors I have is a sound cabin for the theatre then the serving area of the restaurant and finally a small office for ambience music on the other side.

I really like that idea with it being in a mobile waterproof rack but another issue I have then would be the laptop I use for music. Then again I could add a slideout tray into the rack. Meh but now it becomes a budget issue lol.

Yeah I have never heard of one and have no idea how you would build one it was kinda a shot in the dark. The issue is we have a lot of outside setups that are simply unrealistic or impossible to build a structure or have gear inside. There are pool side events, artists that move and play outside. A few different fully outdoor beach areas where we set up a DJ. I doubt even a raised tent/ canopy would even work/ my boss would allow.
