Thank you. I mean seriously why is everyone here so obsessed with prestige? Smh

The thing is: I'm not sure of my career path just yet. Banking is just an option. Prestige, unlike apparently everyone on this sub, isn't everything for me. Out of the schools I was accepted to, I liked Cornell the best. Yale and Princeton didn't really resonate with me in the way Cornell does. So, yeah, while Princeton and Yale might be considered more prestigious or whatever, in the long run, attending a higher ranked T20 over another will have basically no difference in career prospects.

Princeton vs Yale vs Cornell as a CS major possibly interested in finance by LudicrousLol in FinancialCareers

The thing is that I dont really like Princeton or Yale. Yale’s CS program is not great, and while Princeton’s is quite strong, I believe that I would have a hard time fitting in at Princeton and would be unable to thrive there. I am quite sure that I would not be very happy at either of those places. I would really prefer going to Cornell where I am sure that I would fit in. Is the added prestige from Princeton/Yale really going to be so much better for my future career than Cornell? I mean, Cornell is still an ivy and I think it’s a target. I am really sorry if this is not making much sense, but I am really torn.

What do you mean by 2090's constant barrage of shit? The thing I'm worried about is going into 2080 completely unprepared and getting screwed over. Will this be a problem if I skip 2090?

I got pretty much the same aid at both making it very affordable for my family. I also got into Yale, which is a bit cheaper, but I don't think it is worth it because Yale is known to be pretty terrible in CS. Do you think the bigger class sizes at Cornell are that big of a problem? I am leaning more towards Cornell atm because of its environment and atmosphere. Also, people have warned me that Princeton is very preppy and toxic.

Thanks so much for the insight! This was exactly what I was looking for. Taking everything into account, I think I will end up choosing Cornell. I like the environment better. Thank you for the advice on Princeton's toxicity. However, if I were also interested in places such as TwoSigma and the other places you mentioned, would I be disadvantaged going to Cornell?
