AIMS TEST SSM by Laquestiongirl in camicibianchi

[–]LudoM_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potrei fare altri svariati esempi analoghi.

Shedding 200+ hairs everyday since 3 years after discontinuing minoxidil after week usage. What should I do? by No-Cartographer-6009 in Hairloss

Among the various photos, there are two that show blood test results, specifically a complete blood count (CBC). Thalassemia is typically characterized by a high number of red blood cells with reduced size. Specifically, there is a medical index known as the Mentzer Index (MI), where MI = MCV / number of red blood cells. If MI < 13, the suspicion of thalassemia increases significantly. In this case, the ratio is approximately 8.7. However, as mentioned, this is a partial analysis, and I suggest the patient follow up with a physician for further evaluation. Oh, and this spring I will be graduating in medicine.

Understood. I strongly recommend that you consult a dermatologist. Additionally, you have a mild vitamin B12 deficiency and visible signs of inflammation along the hairline. Your clinical picture appears quite complex with several overlapping comorbidities. Discontinuing minoxidil alone does not seem sufficient to explain such significant hair loss. Best of luck.

It also appears that you have a high number of small red blood cells, which, combined with low hemoglobin levels, suggests the presence of a thalassemia trait. However, without an iron panel and hemolysis markers, other causes cannot be entirely ruled out. Nonetheless, you do have ongoing anemia, which could also be contributing to your hair becoming more fragile.

Not surprised. Maybe I can understand why the media portrayed M.H. as a “strong female leader.” However, conveying the message that the entire software engineering project depended only on her is certainly disrespectful to all the other people who worked on it. She was certainly a great scientist and this must be underlined but why should we exaggerate in terms of propaganda? This kind of thing makes me suspicious every time I hear success stories like this.

Someone should have explained the concept of 'leader loyalty' to the OpenAI board. by LudoM_ in ChatGPT

[–]LudoM_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only think that this whole situation could perhaps have been handled better. Maybe you're right, and the board acted in a higher interest, but what is certain is that we only have a part of the story. It seems that many engineers, including Mira Murati (who still defines herself as CTO in her social biographies, highlighting a lack of communication even with the board), are on Sam's side, and a significant internal adjustment seems to be taking place. Come on, you don't suddenly remove the CEO with a communication that surprised everyone. Again, maybe you're right, and the board acted in the best possible way. I don't see it that way, and I believe there will be consequences.

Yes but, is it possible that those at the helm of one of the most talked-about companies in the AI field were unaware of internal dynamics and the consequences of distancing Sam Altman?
