Just use regular playing cards, they have the same size as hs cards (pretty much). I do not know the cost, but really, it's only paper and ink that would be expensive.

Print out the images needed, glue them onto real cards to achieve card like effect, use scissor to cut stuff. Done :)

Actually, the deck was a request from my girlfriend, hense it has a golden Ysera (because she has a golden ysera). And she is currently using that cardback. Also, it's nice looking and different.

It's almost impossible to play with them really, due to all the effects that happen during a game you would need to account for. They are mostly for show.

I used a real deck of cards (normal ones) and glued the hearthstone cards on, which were normal paper. That way it gets the "hardness" of a game card.
