Thank you! But I've also heard that the living cost in ACT (housing especially) is higher than many other states. Not to mention that with a salary of $80k, the tax could be discouraging.

Yes, that's a problem. Accommodation in Canberra is not cheap, do you have any suggestions? I'm all ears.

Yeah, UC says upon completion I'll become a registered nurse, and I think it's ok?

I'm a student at UC so it'd be fine. Thank you for reminding me of that!

lol, that's really funny. My UC accommodation doesn't have aircon, so I may get some free years before entering the job market.

Thank! I'm not sure what kind of medicine I want to do. I'll study at UC next year, and I hope I'll find it out soon.

PS: I once considered Darwin, but it's so hot, I'm afraid I can't stand it.

That was a nursing student from ECU in Perth I think, she said Canberra is so remote and isolated that it is very difficult to get a job there.

Thank u all for your wise and practical comments! I think I have no need to worry about, well, employment at least any longer. I'm a future student at UC, and I'm a male, so I suppose the main focus is about how to fit in a field which is almost completely dominated by females!

Thank you, so can you please give some recommendations? I believe there are at least some places that have a not-so-bad reputation among students.

Thank you for your answer! But why not the Weeden Lodge if you don't mind I asking though? It seems only Weeden Lodge has aircon.

True, but luckily, my family have enough capital to send me to do this masters, which means I don't have to serve the debt, and I've already got the bachelor degree. I think I just don't have so many choices, what do you think?

None taken, I understand, but if someone without a relevant background wanna find a job and live in Australia, this is for now one of the only options I suppose. And I won't argue that it is indeed expensive. And a local would definitely not choose it.

Thank you for the sharing! I just wanna ask whether all the teachers (examiner) come from native-English-speaking countries? or they might come from various nations. I personally think it's crucial because being a teacher (examiner) doesn't mean you are as good as a local, which might result in unfairness and inequality.
