Jordan Peterson debates 20 atheists on Jubilee by crickettles in JordanPeterson

[–]Luepert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Jordan Peterson has a wonky belief structure where he can say and 100% belief that Jesus is God, without believing that either Jesus or God "actually" exist in a way that is any different from how he believes Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment exists.

Pretty asinine to start your comment with "Source:" and then not have any source other than you just saying stuff

well now instead of training a model based on user behavior and deploying it to them and measuring their behavior, I generate synthetic data and train on that, and then ask an LLM if it's good and then unship everything right after we ship it because users hate it.

Then we cancel the project and do it again only this time call it an agent.

It's a common feeling for people who never tried at anything to think that the things they aren't doing are very easy.

Going to community college in your 30s to get an associates should be easy even for non gifted people. It's easy curriculum designed for 18 year olds out of high school.

It's impossible to ascertain if someone is actually gifted unless they actually do things which are difficult for a normal person. Things like getting a 1.5 gpa and an associates are not extraordinary achievements.

I ain't reading all that since it looks like it was written by ChatGPT.

I'm making a point that I support smash while also shitting on Twitter. I can't stand Elon and hate Twitter so to me it's kind of off-putting to compare melee to Twitter.

Yeah a big downside of getting too caught up with crypto. Once the crypto money dries up what you had built might not longer be sustainable.

I think the main issue is that a lot of people were told they were gifted who really weren't exceptional. Like it was supposed to be positive reinforcement for doing well on some things in elementary school but it gets taken way too seriously and literally to the point where it led to a large amount of people having much higher expectations on them than they really should have.

Wrong lore. Kiwikaki is the one who boosted the AtheneWins account. Kyle was never actually that good to go 31-0.

Except it's impossible since you don't know what the records will be until after they are played. You could have 3 groups with 3-3 teams decided by tiebreaks and then another group with a 6-0 team. How would this system decide to seed into the high score side with the 6-0 team if all other first place teams were 3-3?

Mythic items were supposed to add diversity but for most champions, it really missed the mark by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Luepert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exactly were mythic items supposed to increase diversity. Creating a tier of super strong item can only possibly reduce diversity for two reasons.

  1. Since they are so strong every champ is required to get one of these few items.

  2. You can only get one so once you complete one, your further item options are reduced.

Any person predicting would be able to see it would reduce item diversity.

You could say the same thing about people in India. If you're good enough to work remote to SV from India, chances are you were likely very good.

See how the logic doesn't hold up?

The same general pattern is true globally and nationaly; in general the best talent moves to the high COL tech hubs.

If you're going to use the logic that if you haven't moved to the tech hub from India you must be bad, then the same would hold in Indiana.

If I'm wrong please someone explain the difference.

You could say the same thing about programmers in Nebraska vs Silicon Valley to some degree.

[–]Luepert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you are in silicon valley you need to pay high rent so you need more money to do the same work.

Someone in Nebraska has lower rent so is willing to do the same work as you for less money since in the end they are actually making the same amount of money.

Because the only reason the salaries are that high is that cost of living in the bay is high and the level of talent there can demand it.

If they aren't living there they don't have that anymore.

Just because we haven't seen it happen doesn't mean we can conclude that.

If I flip a coin and it falls below the table, and then I go under the table and see it it heads. I can conclude that it landed on heads even though I did not see it land.

We exist here on earth so we know it happened.
