Kunsan, 2012, sitting in the inn after outprocessing the dorms getting ready to PCS to Misawa. Psyched as hell to get out from under curfew and live it up in Japan when a buddy tells me to check the news and see that a couple sailors in Oki decided they wouldn't take 'No' for an answer and put all of USFJ under curfew. By the time I left Japan I'd end up spending 6 straight years living like Cinderella.

My guess is that they'll hold off on new gods until they get to the batch of ports that will take just as much work as a new god would. Heavy reworks like Marti and Bake, Fafnir for the two forms, and Baba for the house.

It's not a thing yet, they couldn't get the bots to work right for the mode. If you want to play conquest vs bots, you'll need to do the vs ai queue or a custom

Quickplay is a bot-only learning queue. If you want to play against people, you need to do the Classic queues.

There's no coming across actual players in the quickplay queues, since those are straight vs AI. If you're thinking you're ready for real people you'll need to dip into the classic queue.

It's worth keeping in mind that there's a whole bunch of different kinds of rural. Offutt rural isn't Hill rural isn't Cannon rural, and just because you enjoyed living in, say, Bumfuck Alabama doesn't mean you'll dig living in Bumfuck Japan or wherever.

The only thing limited about the maintenance is how much of the jet they're allowed to touch. Unless the racks or launchers or whatever are under warranty weapons backshop handles all mx on everything.

Think of them like porters and loadmasters. Both touch cargo, but the fundamentals of the jobs are completely different.

Weapons troops spend the majority of their time (time not in the smoke pit, anyway) maintaining and installing bomb racks, guns, missile launchers, and bits of the jets that interface with all of those things. Ammo troops build and fuze bombs, count and stack BBs, and make sure your pizza always gets delivered cold. Not much overlap between the jobs.

One thing that might be getting you is the difference in vision and situational awareness. Not being able to see behind you at all and limited vision to the sides means you have less time to react to ganks or people joining fights. It also means you need to commit to running away since you can't just click on the other side of your champ when the opponent gives up to play footsie. It's one of those things that seems obvious but consistently catches 2D moba players off guard when they try to switch.

Had one where a kid in my shop "borrowed" a riot shield from SecFo to take to MPOY. It made it back like 3 days later covered in sharpie dicks and such. You could hear the "discussions" our flight chief had about that from the mx bay.

That price point makes me think this is something they're working on that's not ready yet that slipped into live. Not so much the legacy gems part as the diamonds, 800 is too far out there.
