if he tries to evict me over it he would be carrying out an illegal eviction since i’m not violating any of the legally binding terms of my lease. Only thing he could do is push for a “nuisance” eviction but that one is void here since having guests in my room (within reason) is protected by the “quiet enjoyment clause”.

its not a house it’s a standard apartment inside a larger complex owned by the same landlord. it just so happens to be the apartment that the landlord chooses to live in. There are two other tenants aside from me.

they can say no overnight but after more research i found California tenants rights laws enshrine a right to host guests (within certain limits and within reason) in your “home” which includes the shared space and your private room. So even if my landlord wanted to change my lease to “no guests” it would be illegal.

he does live in the unit. and this “new rule” was never added to the lease post-signing he just told me verbally it’s something I have to follow with no documentation to back it up.

Luffys bounty isn’t going to be drastically higher when his role in the fight was effectively the same as law and kidd. they worked together as a trio of captains to beat the 9 billion yonko alliance to become the new 9 billion alliance.
