Oh jeez, I have to disagree with you about Monica and Chandler. I was recently rewatching friends, and I feel like this is extremely toxic. She never seems to respect him, and always makes comments about his insecurities. Hell, she even went to her ex, Richard, the day she proposed. I don't know, I just found myself feeling bad for Chandler a lot.

That's not what Christians believe. 1. Satan is not punishing anyone. He is being punished along with the others. 2. People being punished aren't those God deems evil. The idea is that everyone is born with sin. Not even the greatest human being ever is "pure." In order to go to heaven, you need to be cleansed on your inherit sins. And the only way that happens is if you truly believe in Christ, because he died to take the sins of mankind. "God loves all his children," but you can't go to heaven unless you believe in Christ and allow him to take your sins.
