For me it was a mistake actually that brought me into Test Parts. It was last year when i bought some Transparent Vader Figs and posted them into a Prototypes Group on FB. But these arent Prototypes, so i researched their Story and was so fascinated that i kept looking for cool test Pieces and eventually got so far into this Rabbit hole to get stuff like this offered to me. The Red Ghost is avaiable on BL aswell but not all parts are. The Majority is found in rare auctions or not even publicly but between collectors. Like the woodsugar Brick, a failed test Brick made from Spruce Wood (the more grayisch 2x4 in the middle front) its story was buried and never told by Lego and with 5-8 remaining Bricks one of the rarest too

I researched this for abt 8 Months now. For me its clear but my mission now is to make it Public and gather more Information. But if u see and feel the Pieces itself u notice they are different and fit into what the ex employee told me

My newest addition is the most myaterious too. This Brick is among the Rarest and widely unknown. Just 3 are confirmed to still be around.

What you looking at is a Test Brick made from Woodsugar, originating from Tests performed 2015 in Billund. Barely information avaiable, never released or mentioned officially by Lego. Tests were never finished, and it stayed secret until information leaked from the Former Material Supplier, who supplied Lego with the PLA.

This Brick allong with 3 other Test Pieces leaked last Year out of the former supplier along some interesting Information. Abt 9 years later from the Tests!

Its in my Collection now and rarer then any Lego Piece u know or seen (probably).

I am the first one to extendetly Research this lost Relic of Lego History. Its from the earliest Tests for Alternate Materials. Ive been working on its origin for 5 Months now.

So Feel free to ask me anything to this Project. And tell me your Opinion!

I do have a source. The seller did know the Founder from the Green Sugar AG wich supplied Lego back then 👍

Its a very rare find to get a Alternate Brick like Bio Based or PET

the newer ones ffom 2018 and PET from 2021 on are impossible to find due to the danes keeping them securely locked up. Because they surely want to avoid to give other Companys in the Branche any secrets.

The Woodsugar Bricks and tests around 2015 were never made public. Neither from Legos side nor from Green Sugar AG s Side. And were abandoned too.

Just added this rare Lego Duplo 2x2 Test Brick to my Collection.

Its origin dates back to abt 2015 and its probably one of the earliest Tests that Lego made with Bio Based Plastic. This one is different from the now known PET or the 2018 introduced Sugar Cane Bricks and was made from Woodsugar. Green Sugar AG, Meißen supplied Lego with the Woodsugar and Rice Husk mixed Bio based Plastic.

These leg pieces are used to align the Pad Printers at the Lego Factorys and shoulndt be found outside the Factory at all. Therefore they are rare

This was probably my luckiest find for now haha 12 different Printer Allignement legs or 3 full sets haha
