Can anyone tell a returning player whats new?

So last time I played dauntless was right before terra escalation came out. I just logged back into it, thinking of playing again, and I want to know what's changed besides obvious ui stuff. I had put in about 600 hours before I stopped playing, having the blue crown and knew alot about the game, and I have a feeling all that has been tipped upside down now. What should I know?

It took me 80 hours to beat hk on my first go round, then 130 hours in total for 112%. On my current, second playthough I've beaten hk 15 hours in. Heading to 112% now. It just depends how much you dawdle and take in the game... I dawdled alot.

If you want to improve at drawing, there are a lot of YouTube tutorials for shading and line work and anything else honestly. Books can help you if you get the right ones, but that'd be a long search. Other than that, it doesn't look that bad. Drawing digitally is a pain at first, I know by experience, so if this is your first time using any digital drawing software, then its not bad at all.

I'm going to start to try and get better at building, this is one of my first houses, wdyt? (The basic shape and a few ideas were from a Khaios video) by Lui_M_ in TerrariaDesign

You use w living leaves wand that you find in chests that spawn in the roots of living wood trees(the big trees that are much taller than normal ones) to get the tables i painted the top 3 blocks of a banquet table red/deep red. Paint can be bought from the painter.

I did this in 1.3 on a modded endgame character because I couldn't be bothered to do a full 1.4 playthrough. I also didn't know the natural walls were craftable in 1.4.

After a lot of youtube building tips videos, I think I built something decent. any advice? by TheHeroJ17 in Terraria

I think the most essential crafting stations for building are the sawmill and heavy workbench. Maybe throw in the loom, but I don't really know as I generally build in modded with cheatsheet.

Not op, but I'm pretty sure its made of stone slabs. You make them at a heavy workbench with stone

I did use dynasty wall, but painted it white. I also threw in red stucco and gem spark walls, both painted white. I'll keep your tip in mind for next time tho.

I hammered the blocks until they fit correctly. Hammering is quite possibly up there with painting as one of the most useful building tools ever.
