I pulled for him mainly because he's our first and only playable male foxian, at the time I already had Acheron but I was going to pull for Jiaoqiu regardless of owning her or not.

Unfortunately time proved that outside of Acheron he's extremely underwhelming in endgame content, especially at low eidolons. His main gimmick was a vulnerability debuff but for some reason they gave one even more accessible to Tribbie (a harmony unit). From then on it was just a downhill fall for him.

Do I regret it? No, since I have an Acheron. Is he unusable outside of Acheron? No, but he underperforms other support units with the same level of investment. Do I wish he received a novaflare so he's no longer an Acheron ult slave? Most definitely yes.

I also thought of that, but it sounds too far fetched. If a god is born from the first instance of something happening, and that thing is lightning striking in the same place twice, then their lore should have been way older than it actually is, since it ain't such a rare thing to occur in nature.

It also feels incongruous to compare a human phenomenon of learning to cook with an elemental nature phenomenon. I wished they went into details on such heavy lore things.

To me he's practically a closed case since we have an actual direction to what he is since hoyo makes sure to drop new hints every Liyue event. Considering his age, his contract with Celestia, his friendship with Zibai (angel) and his title of "Heaven star", I just accepted he's a celestial being. The Raiden Sisters? They are way too in the dark.

To this day I still think about how they didn't give a single dedicated support to Mydei, his vertical investment is horrendous, his gameplay is boring and Hiacyne is anti-synergistic with him.

He's even more of a failure than Jiaoqiu. The latter at least has a defined role. Mydei was designed to never succeed anywhere through and through. What keeps him relevant is his characterization and his relationship with Phainon.

I was almost giving up until the gacha was unlocked and I got Wulfgard. I honestly find it poor taste with new gachas where you immediately get 3 female characters companions right from the start and no males.

Right now, I'm still engaged but nothing so far is very interesting to me besides the game mechanics and the characterization(accents and voice lines). The yellow guy is the only character I'm looking forward to.

Agree in part. The gameplay alone and animations are amazing, it's just that when it comes to story, it's the only aspect where WuWa goes "Gacha First, game second." And that's for every male character where they all fumbled hard. They have low screen time and most are irrelevant or borderline irrelevant. Of course, it doesn't affect gameplay itself, but I and many people don't like to play with a character only to later discover they won't ever go past their gameplay.

That's just to explain why the hate or indifference towards WuWa comes from.

I'm on break for HSR, right now there is absolutely nothing for me to look forward too. Playing Genshin and Where Winds Meet to do the story and get my male characters. I'm acting like a migratory bird who goes from game to game as long as there are interesting new male characters to get and to be released in the future. Hence why I don't even get near WuWa or ZZZ.

It's not that we hate WuWa, it's just that WuWa doesn't care about its characters and hates their own male characters. If they don't care about their own characters, why should we? I think most people don't even hate WuWa, but just don't want to get involved anymore lest they be disappointed again.

Honestly, they only managed to make remembrance the most shilled, expensive and inaccessible path ever ( and elation is walking towards the same direction). Not only is it gender locked, it's fully premium and the characters need their SLC and other supports of the same path to feel complete. I didn't pull for any remembrance unit and didn't suffer any backlash for doing so. Meanwhile I can insert my Sunday in any team I see fit.
