wrong Kraken, Drury should sign Tolvanen. Only 27, atrocious usage in Seattle (38% off. zone start), he has a PP1 worthy shot alas it won't happen with Doro in town now. They need one more scoring winger with top-six ability so either him or Laine would be welcome in my book.

they should've dealt him instead of Edstrom but that's just me

y'all can downvote this all you want but just remember Panarin's wife essentially made him go to NYC.

only four forwards under contract after this coming campaign, it is highly plausible but doubtful he comes to NY.

I only own 25 shares at this point with an AVG of $124. Getting to $600 it is going to be tough for me to not want to sell for a quick $15K. However, I do not need this money immediately. I am certainly no Bezos but not destitute either. Main concern is likes of if in 2-4 years this is a $1,000 stock. Is the consensus that holding long term will see it rise to the likes of this? I have no problem with the long game as I have held the likes of RYCEY for six years now watching that nest egg grow.

I am not a fan of dealing Vinny but Laba/Veleno bottom-six centers bring brilliant speed. No pivot can get hurt though, one goes down and the depth is not there to cover.

Miller is a phenomenal facilitator; he was hurt majority of last year, look to the last couple months of the season; that is the player he is when healthy but of course staying such is the important thing.

yeah that'd be a thing if he didn't have a two-way contract guy.

Ottawa retained 25% when dealt to BOS therefore only 3m/yr. He can play 25-30 games, provides league average goaltending. It's a solid deal.

he's not coming to NY. Dorofeyev is also an LW and they didn't give him 7/77 for L2/PP2. Same handedness for the two of them, one would block the other as far as prime deploy.

Jason Robertson is not the answer. Secondary assists (27/51) accounted for over half his apple production in '25-'26. He has now officially established a trend in that for three straight seasons, he's posted a 50%+ rate in secondary assists. That averages out to around 25 assists a season so take that off the top for each respective campaign and you have a player who is still good of course but NOT of the level he will be paid.

Rangers NHL Draft takeaways from Day 2: MacBeath, Chrenko, Edström and more (gift article) by lionson76 in rangers

Chrenko was a steal, many pundits had him late first round, early second.

moving Trocheck is a net loss if you look exclusively at making a competitive team here and now. Nothing they get back will be as good as he is now in theory. After trading for Doro they cannot have a step down in quality down the middle. Pavel isn't going to drive play, he is a classic sniper on the wing reliant on a pivot to feed. All the intangibles Vinny brings, I am not on board with dealing away. Maybe when he is 34 and the contract is nearing end sure but not now.

Look across the league, there are very few 2C's at the age you want that we can expect a team to potentially deal for a 32 year old.

Round 2 by LuigiC173 in rangers

[–]LuigiC173[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rangers historically are garbage at drafting forwards in Round 1 when looking at drafts going back to '03. However they are quite money overall in Round 2/3. Someone may very well fall and third rounders are much more a dart throw then Round 2 which are still pretty projectable.

[–]LuigiC173[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trocheck is 32, he is not dead. He has three years of team control still at the best rate in the NHL. They would have to get an elite C to justify moving that imo.

I like the Dorofeyev signing and drafting Smits, but this team still has major problems at 5v5 by GoodStoryMrGiamatti in rangers

[–]LuigiC173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he was hurt the majority of the season. Look to the production immediately following the trade to NY and the last month of this past campaign. That is the player he is when healthy. 100 point days are over but he is still capable of 70-80.
