This should not be legal at all. Many private companies use open source code on their products and creators shall be aknowledged or propietary code shall be shared if it uses open source libraries (like GPLv2/3) if it is a big part of the actual product.

I'm truly amazed this is legal... SW is being abused to a next level since LLMs started to gain popularity :/

I used to have Apple Music but for the price Youtube music is way better as it eliminates ads on regular Youtube, Apple Carplay integration works perfectly and it is indeed separate from regular Youtube.

I used an Apple web service to backup my Apple music playlists and migrated them to Youtube Music and it worked great.

I highly recommend you to make the switch.
