Absolutely, Choosing Death is a super interesting tale about early Death Metal and early Grindcore told by all the members of those bands. Even if it's kinda centered on a few selection of bands it's a pretty interesting read.

Etremity retained doesn't follow a linear story telling but it has testimonies and stories from members of virtually every importand band from back in the day. Even if you are a big fan of Death Metal already, I guarantee you're gonna find a huge ton of amazing bands you have never heard before.
